“great choice for transit stay”
Nothing to do in the neighborhood but thumbs up on the hotel itself. And very efficient shuttle service to the airport every 30 mins on the dot.
“Not impressed”
OK location if you need to stay near the airport. Staff not very helpful when (1) I had problems getting my room key to work, (2) the air conditioner wouldn't work and (3) there was no chair available in the business center. Poor value for the money.
“It was OK”
The staff were fine, very helpful. The hotel is a little old and tired, but clean. My room had a "master power switch" so after I got it on, I had to go around and reset all the electronic items. Of which most were pretty tired, I never was able to get the clock radio time/alarm re-set as the buttons to advance the hour and minutes were worn out. TV remote/cable box all needed to be re-set, etc, etc. bathroom sink was cracked and glued back together.... typical Latino deal.....noisy, musty, hard beds....
“Dawn Thurlow”
Very convenient for international airport, shuttle service good for both terminal 1 and 2. subway very close walking distance, room and breakfast excellent
“Very convenient to airport”
The hotel was very convenient to the Mexico City airport. In fact, the shuttle arrived at the hotel in about 5 minutes. Be sure you go to gate 4 to pick up the shuttle. The ground floor in the hotel smelled a bit like sewage. Apparently they are doing work on the sewer system, but I stayed on the fourth floor and it was fine. The restaurant was very good but the waiters speak very little English so it is important to make sure they understand completely what you want. They brought me the wrong thing but were happy to take it back and bring the cheese platter that I had ordered. They even delivered it to my room when I couldn't finish it. I had booked the hotel through Expedia and had prepaid Expedia with a credit card. The personnel at the desk had a hard time processing my check out and needed to find a supervisor. Be sure you have the printout from Expedia with you. Plus I took a copy of my credit card statement showing that I had already paid. Overall, a very nice hotel, with good shuttle service, and very close to the airport.
“Convenient”
Had a layover late at night. Ramada's office at the airport was already closed. Had difficulty contacting the hotel for a shuttle. Staff was rather rude also.
“Very impressive”
If your first priority is being close to the airport this may not be for you; the half hourly shuttle bus functions well (even at 4am) and the trip takes about 15 minutes. BUT it is a wonderful hotel. The room was incredible with both a shower (two rain type shower heads and pebble beach flooring) as well as a double jacuzzi type bath and a triple bed! Not sure quite what they expect you to get up to but there you are. Quiet and discreet might be the watchwords. Internet was very slow in my room, towards the edge of the hotel, but worked fine in the two seater business area by the lobby, but this seems to be true of Mexico generally? All in all, and considering I was in and out so quickly, a good option.
“DisappoInted”
The good - breakfast was good and it is under five minutes from the airport in the free shuttle bus. The porters were excellent. The shower n the room was good. They supplied us with a nice cot for our baby son. The bad - we booked a king sized room but were given an very small twin room (although this is always a risk when you book the cheapest expedia rate). The beds were uncomfortable. There was no outside window (specify an outside room to get one?). When the guy next door got up at 4am we could hear everything he did as if he was in the room with us. The air conditioning was uncontrollable so the room was either too cold with it switched on or too hot with it switched off. The front desk staff were disinterested. When we checked out i asked for a comment card and was told that these were only available in the rooms.
“Good but not perfect”
Location and restaurant were perfect. Reception staff however failed to deliver an important message and gift from a colleague also staying there, and the hotel shuttle to the very closeby airport was a bit tardy. The room was very satisfactory, and the band in the lounge made for dancing fun after dinner.
“Comfortable, yet disappointing”
Convenient location with shuttle service every half hour to and from the airport. Check-in process was slow and disappointing. The room was extremely comfortable and seems to have been recently renovated with modern decor. But the wi-fi signal was very weak, so we were not able to connect to the internet (so much for "complimentary in-room wi-fi"). Free internet was available in a small, two-computer business center. Cable channels in the room were very limited (even standard channels gave the message "you are not signed up for this channel"). The blow-drier in our room did not work. Complimentary breakfast buffet was very good quality and variety.
