Arrived preseason, so not too busy. Friendly helpful staff. Pool and surrounding gardens, plus direct view from pool out to sea, very nicely done and seemed superior to the other hotels nearby. Rooms spacious with large private balconies. Able to cook if you want to.
Food from their restaurant seemed good value and we enjoyed it.

"The most exceptional hotel I have ever been in, and I travel quite a bit"
The hotel blends perfectly with the surroundings. The rooms are extremely well designed, comfortable, modern but also very "warm". All hotel facilities are exceptionally detailed, and we were unable to find any imperfections despite our efforts. The beach is very well organized but the water is relatively cold. Multiple opportunities for sea sport activities. We plan to go back next year with the kids, as the hotel is very kids-friendly and has multiple independent children activities supervised by a very competent cast.

the hotel is hanging literally above the sea. The problem is that only a limited number of rooms have sea view. In our case , and as far as i know in several other occasions, the room we got was not the one we paid for. After complaining to the staff they tried to persuade us that the room we booked was the one we got. Unfortunately it seemed to me that this is part of their policy in order to attract customers so that they have a full house in this hotel as well as the other hotel of the company in the city. They appear to have empty rooms with sea view but once you get there they try to get you in whichever room is available. We finally got the room we paid for only for the two of the four nights of our stay. They then offered us a two night stay in the other room which we refused. So after negotiating with expedia we managed to arrange a refund of our money for the rest of our stay.We actually managed to find a cheaper room in Pylos with excellent view. So if anyone wants to stay in Karalis BEACH Hotel be sure that you confirm by phone that you are given the double room with sofa and sea view situated in the FRONT side of the hotel.
We were looking for a relaxing holiday. I spent 5 days with my wife and 2 years old daughter and we all had a great time. We enjoyed the swimming pools and the beach (thought no sand castles as it's just pebbles). There's a shallow swimming pool for small children and the beach is calm, without waves almost and just 20 steps from the swimming pool.
The breakfasts are fantastic, full of options to choose from.
The staff was very friendly.
There was free WiFi in the lobby though not very good reception in my room. But having WiFi in the swimming pool and beach was cool.

If you are driving into town from the airport or Athens, follow the sign that says "beach", not the sign that says "center".
I stayed two times in Pharae Palace for only one night the first time and two the second time. Both were pleasant stays. This is an upscale hotel. The location looks over the waterfront. Sometimes there are motorcycles zooming up and down the street, to show off, and are very loud if you are sitting outside or have the door open. It was over quickly and it was not a problem for sleeping when the door was closed.
The staff was formal, but nice and helpful.
The parking along the street is not so great, but I found out on the second trip that there is a parking garage and they will give you a special opener to park in there.
The wifi in my rooms was great.
There is a nice bar up on the roof and you can sit outside as well. It is really beautiful up there. The breakfast buffet on the roof is magnificent!
To get to the "old" town, you will need to take a bus or taxi or else it is a long walk.

Booked this hotel according to the Tripadvisor's info. Absolutely wonderful place. Personnel, room, even bedclothes! New and clean.
We arrived late, but receptionist was on duty and gave us 2 room apartment (we booked just twin beds). So, 2 rooms with 2 balconies and possibility to arrange drought.
The see view was just splendid! Pool is not big, but 3-4 people can feel comfortably swimming there (also pool for children adjoin).
The breakfast was standard, but good quality. Nothing super, but everything to be sated.
Huge parking lot (complimentary). Decent free Wi-Fi (though had broken next morning :))
All in all - highly recommended if you have a car.
We visited this hotel out of season. It was quiet but the view from the balconies is superb. All rooms have a sea view, loking across Messinian Bay towards Kalamata and the mountains. Hotel a bit noisy with school parties. Coffee in room would be nice.
