“Good view of ocean from our room”

Hotel was very clean. Mattress comfort was excellent. We had a room with view of ocean and it was good. Location right off main highway was very convenient.

“When In Mendo..”

The hotel room was EXTREMELY comrfortable and clean with a view of the sunset/ocean from our room! In addition, a nice comfortable balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the "make your own" waffles every morning! I am a Best Western convert!

“This is a gem of a spot”

Although the rooms are a bit dated, the beds are amazingly comfortable and the staff very nice. I have stayed there twice now with my husband and child (abalone diving trips), and they have been very accomodating, had a crib when we asked forit ($10 charge), and when we asked for late checkout (because we have a baby who naps right at 11am) was generous and understanding (the lady at the front desk even chased after my husband once on his way back to our room from diving to tell him if the baby was sleep we needn'y rush to checkout!). They also have free continental breakfast in their lobby, we always enjoy their waffles machine and hard boiled eggs. i know they have a pool area, but we haven't tried it put yet, there is always next time because we are certainly going back!

“Pleasant affordable place to stay in Fort Bragg”

Beautiful location, nice view of the ocean. Very courteous and responsible staff. Breakfast choices were very good, including make your own waffles.

“Not our first rodeo, we'll be back.”

Girls road trip. Several people in our party had pending surgery, and needed special accomodations. Our room was moved to the ground floor at the last minute to make access easier for us.

“good value for price”

Quiet room (with windows closed). Comfortable cozy beds. Had a few ants on the wall when we checked in, but manager came and sprayed and they went away. Room was upstairs -- we should have asked for downstairs because it is a pain to haul suitcases etc. up the stairs. Breakfast adequate -- the usual waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee. Wireless internet didn't work very well in our room, even after they reset the connection. Probably works better in a room closer to the office. Excellent service from hotel staff. They went out of their way to help us with printing some documents.

“Would go to again.”

Its in a pretty setting on a small knowle with real beach views, if you ask for that. The highway is noisy to me, not real busy just the sound of car tires. The room is comfortable the heaters work and make no noise. The bathroom is spotless. Tile grout is clean the chrome shines. The shower head is very high but flows like a waterfall. Bathroom has window, though low enough that somebody could look in. TV is old, picture poor. Service said the wireless internet had just been worked on. It was mediocre, at best. Breakfast is snack foods, ie. muffins, breads, fruit, oj. Restaurants are on the strip, Highway 1, within a mile or so. Does have indoor pool, is smallish.

“tsunami zone”

The hotel is located in an area that they posted as a tsunami zone. it is close to the ocean and it really was a beautiful location. At night you could hear the ocean and hear rain on the roof. There are balconies on the top floor for each room. The lobby smelled like smoke - it looked like it used to be a bar at one time. No alcohol there anymore however. The area is used only for continental breakfast and a pathway to get to the pool. Pool was indoors and water temperature was kind of cold. Sparse in the pool area - just the bare bones.
