“Good place in a great location!”
Clean room, friendly staff. We wanted a place close to Beale Street and this was perfect.
“Perfect for Beale Street”
Just around the corner to Beale Street but like an oasis in the crazy. Starbucks in the building. Geat bar downstairs. They let you sign out Gibson guitars to play in your room. How cool is that?
“Great location for Beale”
A very good hotel with friendly staff and good service. Hotel is ideally located for Beale St, Gibson Guitar factory, Rock and Soul museum and FedEx arena.
“Great Location, Right off Beale!”
My husband and I stayed here overnight during a cross country trip. Although Memphis is not the safest place, the hotel entrance was right off of Beale. We enjoyed Beale and stumbled back to our clean, comfortable room. Expensive but worth the peace of mind.
“great place/location”
great staff, friendly and helpful, would have been nice if they had internet access, . hotel's a little pricey, maybe best to rent a car because taxis are expensive. great location to Beale st, which is around the corner.
“New, quality hotel, super close to Beale St”
The hotel itself is excellent. Located literally just around the corner from Beale St, directly opposite the Gibson Guitar Factory and directly opposite the FedEx Forum the Westin is well placed. I was disappointed that the mini-bar was not re-stocked after 2 days and the only person with the key had "gone for the day". If you're a light sleeper, you best request a room that does not back on to Beale St as you can hear the outdoor band loud and clear all night. Those two criticisms aside, the look and feel of the hotel is modern and slick, the staff are friendly and professional. I do recommend.
“Overall great hotel”
Great hotel overall. I wasn't very impressed with the mattress. It was worn. Had dips on the right side.
“You definitely get what you pay for!!”
This was the finest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was clean, fresh, roomy, and spotless, the restroom was huge with extremely hot water; matter of fact, the shower was so relaxing that I could have laid down and slept on the restroom floor if the room wasn't sixty degrees, which I absolutely loved. The valet attendants were friendly, the desk clerks were very nice and helpful, and the elevator required a swipe of your room card to gain access to that particular floor, which made me feel a little safer. This is definitely a first class hotel. The only drawback I had was the fact that I tried to get to the hotel on a Saturday night after nine o'clock. The streets were blocked off for the party-goers of downtown Memphis, and I eventually had to park a couple blocks away and hike around with my hotel reservation to a side street and talk about ten police officers into allowing me to gain access to the hotel. I called the hotel from an intersection and was begging the clerk to tell me how to get there, but he was very rude and even hung up on me. Of course, I wasn't in the nicest of moods, so it was a good thing he wasn't at the front desk when I got there or else my night nor his would have gone so well. Oh well, such is life...and all's well that ends well. You truly get what you pay for, and in the case of this hotel, it was worth every penny!
“Way to go to memphis”
This hotel is pet friendly...they allow dogs on all floors. If you have an allergy...it is impossible! The staff was amazing....friendly, efficient, just waiting to please. The location to Beale Street was just a few blocks away. But not so close that you could hear the music and crowds.
“Beautiful Hotel, Great Location”
We stayed for one night to on the way to an Ole Miss football weekend. Staff was great, from the Valet to the Front Desk. Hotel is beautiful, with a comfortable lobby and nice bar and only one block from Beale St. Rooms were large, clean and the Heavenly bed is hard to to beat. Would choose to stay here over the Peabody anytime, especially if you can get it for half the rate of that hotel on Expedia. We ate on Beale St., but the in house restaurant looked modern and inviting. Internet was available via wired or wireless, but was not free. Our preference was to stay on an upper floor overlooking Beale. Noise was not a issue for us, though we typically are not bothered by such things. Our room had a separate shower and tub which was nice, although one would have to be 7 ft tall to adjust the shower head or turn on the hand wand. If you are looking for a nice hotel for a romantic weekend or in Memphis on business, this hotel will accommodate your needs and more. We will be staying here next time we come through Memphis again.
