“Nice entrance to hotel.”

Nice hotel, all show downstairs a little disappointed with bedroom thought it would be more grand. Glad we went out of season as no double glazed windows, could be noisy in peak season. Great location for Beal street. The ducks are a sight to see, if you dont blink! They are fast movers!!

Area recommendations
Beal street was a great place, great music and a great place to eat out, it was so GREAT!

“Nice hotel but old.”

It's a nice hotel but it's old. The Westin down the street is much nicer and much more user friendly.

Area recommendations
None, the crime rate in this city is ridiculous.

“Peabody OK”

The ambiance is great. Peabody is an old hotel and rooms are smaller, but fair modernization. Caprico Grill for dinner DON'T; food was average at best, hostess was rude and food was terribly OVERPRICED

“Not the 4-star quality I expected”

I expected a 4-star hotel such as the renowned Peabody to be a little more luxurious. It wasn't a bad experience, but I don't feel compelled to spend that much money on The Peabody Memphis again. It was moreso on the level of a Hampton Inn or the like.

“Gorgeous historic hotel, with old school rooms”

Amazing hotel and in a great location but the room was tiny and the bathroom was literally the size of a tub, pedastal sink and toilet. Two people could not be in bathroom at the same time.

“Best of Memphis!”

Be aware that this is a older hotel. So, the rooms (and especially the bathrooms) are small. However, the hotel is quite luxurious. The lobby is phenomenal! The location is perfect...right in the middle of the action in downtown Memphis. I just don't see how anybody could be disappointed in this hotel.

“over rated and over priced old hotel”

First complaint is the $11 mandatory service charge for pool, fitness center, WiFi, morning coffee/tea (only from 6-8AM), shoe shine, etc., of which I used none. This charge is not disclosed prior to check in. Went for comp coffee at 9:30 AM and was rudely told "That's only from 6 to 8". The reason for that is to get you up and out of the hotel early, leaving more time for housekeeping. AC blew directly on my head in the bed, going on and off during the night. A terrible night's sleep. My reccomendation is park elsewhere and go inside for the duck show. No need to pay them for that.

Area recommendations
I don't know where to stay in Memphis. Reminds me of New Orleans. The McDonalds down the street had two security guards at 10 AM on Monday morning.

“Not Impressed”

The room was small. The bathroom was extremely small with no vanity or place for cosmetics or toiletries. When checking out I noticed a "Hotel Service Fee" on my bill. This was a surprise so I expressed my displeasure and the staff removed the charge. I was also not prepared for the self service parking fee, but went ahead and paid due to the fact that I had asked about the parking fee when checking in. Overall, I would say that when paying this much I expect a better experience.

Area recommendations
Around Beale Street because you can walk to attractions.
