“Convenient and close to trolley”
The Memphis Marriott downtown is a really nice hotel. I enjoyed the location and its availability to the Main Street trolley, which goes by every 15 to 20 minutes. We were able to ride down to Beale Street for $1.00 each way. The valet parking is $20.00, which I found to be a little steep, but perhaps that's typical.
“Great hotel except for the dirty sheets”
Location, staff, room were all great except it was discovered only after we woke up that the sheets we slept in were not fresh.
“Huge room, great view and great location”
We stayed in a corner king room with a foldout sofa for the 3rd guest. The room was spacious and comfortable although the bedding provided for the foldout was a little thin and old looking. Conveniently located near downtown attractions (a quick taxi or drive to Beale St or about a 18 minute walk).
“Business Traveler's Choice”
The situation of this hotel is ideal for me as I was traveling on business. I was also able to enjoy a night of relaxation by walking or taking a trolly to Beale street. the fitness cent is simply amazing I was disappointed with the business Center as you were required to pay for its use. i also would have enjoyed a coffee station in the lobby for the morning hours. it could be placed near the business center so not to be clearly visible to non-guests of the hotel, but having such a convenience is what i have grown accustomed to at many different hotels - just look in the mirror at your Courtyards or Residence Inns. I don't mean to get picky since the hotel is simply amazing - but with charging for the business center, and the printer and then not having coffee available in the morning is just being a little cheap.
“Clean and Quite”
I was real happy with the Hotel overall. It did NOT have free Wi-Fi in the room. You had to go to the lobby and then you could only have free Wi-Fi for 24-hours. But the hotel was fancy, clean and I slept well. The trolley stops right in front of it so you can get to Union or Beale Street easy for $1 each.
“Decent.”
I thing this Hotel is to expensive for what offer..good location but should not be rated whit 3.5 star , too much, similar to any Holiday Inn.
“Questionable”
I'm still considering if I could recommend this hotel or not. Here is goes... PROS: -Healthy walk to Beale St. & attractions -Trolley stop outside -Pretty comfortable -Good price CONS: -Customer Service: Upon checking in the front desk let us know what even though we requested two double beds, no rooms were available expect 1 king bed. They didn't apologize or try to figure out a solution, and of course, there were no cots available (1 bed for 4 people... kind of annoying). Also, the waiter was so rude in the restaurant & they didn't get our order right. -Cleanliness of room: Our room looked nice, until we saw the used floss on the bedroom floor (ew) & the tub was kind of dirty.
“Can't wait to go back!”
Hotel was 30 min walk from Beale St.,which was great cause it'sa beautiful walk down Main St,Memphis.Located on Trolley Line, could get anywhere we wanted to go without having to rent a car.Took a tour bus to Graceland, everything else close by.Trolley also takes you straight to Beale St.but stops running 6pm on Sundays.
“memphis”
the hotel was nice. not many people staying there .I think there was only 2 rooms on the floor that were rented. Hope they stay in business .
“Five Nights in Memphis”
Only issue was the sauna wasn't working. The hotel bar seemed boring style-wise ...
