“location good”

great location if you're going to the hospital, which was why i was there, for surgery, right across the street, don't expect much from that free breakfast. Wireless internet killed my laptop, it came on for a minute, then that was it, have to replace it.

“Clean Comfortable Great Breakfast "Memphis"”

We were not too sure where to stay in Memphis, we just knew we wanted to do all the usual tourist things while we were there, you know Gracelands, Sun Studio, Peabody Hotel, Beale Street. As New Zealanders riding our bikes sometimes we would not which way was North or South., however the GPS got us directly to the La Quinta Inn without a problem. We have had probelms with hotel addresses and the GPS along the way. A friend we stayed with in Nasville put us on to this La Quinta and pleased he did. It is not close to either Gracelands or downtown Memphis, but it is a nice area, safe with very friendly people to greet you at the front desk. I am fussy when it comes to beds and bathrooms and I am happy to report both great. Breakfast a treat with make your own hot waffles etc. I would stay again at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Primacy Parkway again without hesitation

When to go

Wet Willies Beale Street for the best cocktails around "Call A Cab" was just the best - the follow it up with a delicous meal at BB Kings the live music and food wonderful 10/10 our night on Beale

Getting around

The tours are well worth paying for, cheap as chips really. They shall pick you up from your accommodatins and drop you back. We did several while in Memphis where we could of taken our Harley's, however more interesting listening to tourist guides

“never stay in pet friendly hotels”

Everything was fine at first. The staff was friendly and the place looks nice but when we got to the room the refrigerator wasn't clean, pet food was left on closet from last visitor, and floor was dirty. The worse thing was that the pillow at the end of the bed had pet hair all over it.

“I'll stay there again!”

This was a great hotel for the price. The room was larger than most hotel rooms and the bedding was very nice and comfortable. The only tiny complaint I have is that they did not provide many toiletries- Only a bar of off brand soap and "conditioning shampoo." But this will not stop me from coming back. Great price, location & overall condition.

“Dirty hotel”

The room, hallway, elevator and lobby were very dirty. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff was nice.

“Very nice”

The hotel was nice and quiet at night. The pool was a little small for all the people trying to use it. Overall, I'd stay there again.

“Very happy!”

We were very pleased with the condition and comfort of the room. Planned on a 2 night stay but had to leave after one night due to illness. Staff was very pleasant. Will stay again if in the area.

East Memphis was what we were advised. Seemed to be good advice, safety-wise.

Dining

Had a great meal at The Butcher Shoppe. A bit pricey depending on your budget, about $150 for a party of 4.
