“Am going back in June”

My husband & I are going back in June. This will be the third time we have stayed at this hotel. My grandkids live nearby and come over and swim in the pool.

“Nice Stopover in Memphis”

We were traveling from Chicago to Houston and wanted to find someplace nice to stay in the Memphis area. We read about this hotel and decided to book there. The hotel is new or newer and is in a great town near to expressways and shopping. It also has an indoor pool, which was a plus for us. The only trouble we had was that the hotel room temperature was difficult to modulate. When we got there, it was freezing. In the middle of the night, we were roasting. The beds and room were comfortable enough, but the thermostat problem kept us from getting a good night's sleep. I'm not sure if that is an issue for all the rooms. The other thing that was a little disappointing was that breakfast was not included. We stayed at the Hampton Inn driving to Chicago and the same breakfast spread was included with our room rate there. $7 per child for cereal and buffet breakfast food seems a little steep. However, the staff was extremely kind and overall we thought it was a nice hotel.

“Spending my money somewhere else”

Overall, Courtyard by Marriott at best is maybe "average" in terms of service. In the last year I've used Courtyards about 3 times... the last 2 stays were disastrous. I stayed in a Courtyard in Tucson, AZ (January) and my room was issued to another guess--yes, another guess entered my room in the middle of the night! This last stay (June), I could not get a working telephone in my room--even though they promised to repair it twice! I will not stay in another Courtyard by Marriott. thanks, but no thanks

“Good location for us.....near Graceland.”

The room was nice, good size and clean. The front desk people were helpful. The breakfast was adequate, but not impressive. Fresh fruit would have been enjoyable. The only real negative about our 2 night stay was the pool and hot tub.The pool was extremely small and the jets in the hot tub were not working well at all. Loud, unsupervised kids were running and playing wildly in the pool area. That was not the hotel's fault though, it was the lack of good parenting!

“weekend break”

selected this hotel for a weekend break with an old friend that drives into the area from the opposite direction I travel from. While this location is off a major street, it was in a good area for us to meet in (ladies travelling alone) and there were all the services we needed available in the building or close by. The room was well appointed, very comfortable and spacious . We had a good visit, enjoyed the shopping in the area and did not get lost trying to get to or from this location.

“A pleasant stay - NO free breakfast”

I shopped around and found the best rate I could on a quality room. From looking at the pictures, it appeared that they had a nice breakfast, similiar to others. My mistake was that I didn't verify that the breakfast was actually included. It looked like the breakfast at the other hotels I looked at, except it was a $9 buffett. My mistake, but still. Second problem was with the internet access.... it was painfully slow at times. Many times timing out before the page was able to load. Last complaint was that the Hot Tub/Spa wasn't working the weekend we were there. It was full and running when we got there, but appeared to be a little low on water. We went to our rooms, then came back..... even lower water now. We told the desk person and they said they'd call the maint. guy. Next day there was a note saying it was close for the remainder of our stay. :( The nice looking "free" breakfast (again my bad) and the spa, pretty much made me pick this hotel. So with both of those out of comission, we were kinda dissapointed. However, the room was quite comfortable and clean. My wife has bad allergies, and nothing at the hotel presented a problem for her. The room was clean and they didn't use any strong deodorizers. So depending on whats important to you, you may very pleased.
