The Hotel Otelinn's rooms are basic, not luxurious but comfortable and clean. Two things set this hotel apart: the excellent staff and an excellent restaurant. We arrived late our first night, after the dinner service had ended. When we asked about options, the desk clerk suggested a snack of "crudites" might be possible. 10 minutes later we were served an enormous plate of salads, pates, and cold meats which was among the best food we'd had in Eruope. Breakfasts were generous and evening meals very well prepared and elegantly served. All the staff - from front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff - were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I was very impressed with this level of service in an inexpensive business-traveler-oriented motel.

We have stayed here previously and found the location ideal as we have a relative buried in one of the British War cemeteries.Access to D-Day landing beaches and surrounding areas is ideal. The hotel is good value for money with excellent staff.

The on site food was a great price and well worth it. room was cleaned & bed made every day. The only let down was the bathroom, it was smaller than small. it was tiny. The staff were frienly, helpfull and bi-ligual
Very pleased with this basic hotel. It was fresh and clean with comfortable beds and modern shower room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The self service continental breakfast was fresh and appetising. The room was pleasant and had an opening window for fresh air as well as air con if required. We would definitely visit this hotel again if in the area.
We were impressed with the cleanliness of our room in Hotel des Quatrans, and it's modern refurbishment. The breakfast was the best we had in 4 hotels over our 3 week stay in France, for the most reasonable price. The room was very small but the bed was excellent. We used it as a base for day trips to the surrounding areas and it worked very well for that. The hotel staff were not helpful with respect to questions about toll roads, nearby restaurants, or the need for reservations, including about the restaurant right beside the hotel. Finding good food was very difficult in Caen, and the hotel staff were not much help.

Good value for the price. Our triple room was quite small, but the staff were very pleasant and the restaurant good value. This location is a little out of the way for those without own transport. Would definitely stay here again.

Unbeatable city centre location, close to bars and shops. Lovely hotel with everything you would expect from the Ibis chain, though the room was very small! Breakfast quite expensive at €9.50 so buy from the local bakeries early in the morning. Would recommend this hotel to friends and look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Caen.
"Well-positioned for anyone visiting D-Day beaches"
Convenient for those visiting the Invasion Beaches, being situated outside the Caen Peripherique and close to the main road to the Ferry at Ouistreham and Pegasus Bridge. Surprisingly well-appointed, with bedroom (wi-fi at a small charge) kitchen with full-size cooker, dishwasher, all crockery, cutlery etc., fridge, microwave - lacking nothing! Decent shower, washbasin, toilet. Pleasant lack of noise, considering proximity to central Caen. Close to Carrefour for petrol and provisions - in fact, home from home!
