The hotel is in a good location on main street of village. Rooms clean and spacious. Good facilities with garden and rooftop pools. Food good at breakfast and restaurants reasonably priced for dinner. Staff were excellent and could not be more helpful
Overall, our stay at Solana was great. The hotel was as described, the staff was phenomenal, and the location for us was great. We actually stayed for one night through Expedia then another two weeks with our travel exchange club. The hotel staff made the transition so easy for us, helped us book all of our excursions and we had two great days in the spa. The hotel is older, but well maintained for sure. Last but never least, right on the bus line and super easy to get to the south part of the island for 1.50 euro for an all day ticket!

Hotel was great, clean and comfortable. The staff have poor customer service. Anything you ask is an effort. No smiles no "hello how may I help you"
The bar staff sit in groups and make you feel intimidated, they again do not rush to serve you. The staff let down a great hotel.
A short 4 night stay in Malta. Lovely simple rooms with, in my experience, lovely balcony and views. Easy access from the road with small car park and parking room on side streets. Close to all amenities. Breakfast was both hot and cold with alternate scrambled and hard boiled eggs with no disappointments other than the use of UHT milk and no yoghurt. Evening entertainment was available but could NOT be heard in rooms. WIFI really is free but could only receive signal by the room door, other than downstairs in reception. Pool lovely but small. Whole building was aesthetically pleasing. Room cleaning services were fantastic and owner/manager very helpful with advice on things to do.
we had a great time in Malta staying here, very friendly and helpful people , will use again but will pack the travel kettle next time , 2 mins walk to main street , guest house is a bit basic , along the lines of a hostel
my wife and I enjoyed our stay, we had an upgrade to our room which was a big improvement to the first one,
all staff very friendly and helpful, food had quite a good variation, as an all inclusive hotel it compared favorably with other
hotels we have stayed in, I would change one or two things in the restaurant, for example people were taking plates of food out to the pool area, this has to be a safety matter, broken plates bare feet children not a good combination!!!!
All so I would suggest that early meal times for families was something to consider, or at least a separate dining area,
when adults go for dinner they like to enjoy the experience, and to relax over a good meal and a few drinks, not to run the
gauntlet from buffet to table waiting to be tripped up by unsupervised children running wild...

Overlooking the sandy beach of Ghadira Bay and the Mediterranean sea, this modern five-storey hotel is located in the centre …More
Mellieha Bay boasts the largest sandy beach in Malta, with a golden arc of gently shelving sand providing family-friendly bathing. All the usual water sports are on offer here, and there are further beaches close by. Set high on a hill above is the traditional old town, largely unaffected by the bustle below and with a very fine church. In summer the beaches are crowded and on weekends long traffic jams occur.
