Ok, but attention to detail is required.

The location is fine. The room was spacious, but lacked any thought to general repairs, as there was a knob missing off the wardrobe door, the plug socket casing was coming away (considered dangerous), the bathroom was like a cloakroom and we both couldn't use it at the same time. Very small shower cubicle too. Bed was ok. Room is considered to be noisy, as we heard the next room talking about what they were planning to do that day, so if you want a quiet room then avoid. The breakfast service wasn't anything to rave about. Had to ask for tea/coffee as we had waited 20 mins. Orange juice ran out and wasn't refilled. Cooked breakfast was ok. The restaurant was fine, not lots I choice but the usual pub fare. There are other hotels in the area so probably wouldn't stay again.

Was close to relatives so well positioned.

Pros: Central position. lively bar and resuarant. Individual rooms.
Cons: Communication with customer before arrival would be good.
Location: Melksham is in the Cotswolds so there's plenty of to visit. Lacock is only a few miles away. It is an old town unspoilt by the modern world.
Asked for blankets instead of a quilt. I never got a reply so took my own, it was good job I did. There was no mention of it. Breakfast was good but had to ask for tea and coffee though. Nice stay, would stay again as it's close to where we want to be.

An overnight stay for family reasons. Hotel better than we expected and could not fault the accommodation, or the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

Great location, great breakfast

The hotel was in right in the middle of town, my room (1) overlooked the town square but was still very quiet, no traffic noise. The room was very clean and tidy and included tea/coffee biscuits and water. The staff were very friendly and chatty and the breakfast was hearty and tasty, the choice for breakfast was comprehensive.

Bit noisy but overall nice rooms

Posted 07-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Nice rooms, really clean and the staff were friendly and sorted us a taxi to get to the wedding we were attending. It was pretty noisy until about 3am, especially at the front, due to locals having a big night out and using the garden furniture at the front of the pub to eat their kebabs, but I guess we should have expected that, with it being in the centre of town. Breakfast was lovely, and really nice touches in the room with fancy looking toiletries and good quality tea/coffee facilities.
