Lovely old house, within walking distance of town.

Pros: The food and the owners.
Cons: A stand up shower would be nice.
Location: Very pretty towns and villages nearby plus National Trust properties to visit. Bradford on Avon and Lacock are a must.
Very welcoming owners who can't do enough for you. Roomy, comfortable room but beware the bathroom if you have trouble with steps! First class food cooked freshly, the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. If in that area again would return.

the landlady put me in a room that was not satisfactory at all in a block of rooms in the old barn.Having sat in the room for half an hour thinking what am I doing in here I went to see the lady and was promptly moved to a nice room in the main house.I was told there wopuld be extra charge for this and was charged a further 10 pounds in the moring despite the initial issues and the fact I only had a continental breakfast and a bacon sandwich to go.Not the best I dont feel

Very well situated

Pros: Friendly staff and good food.
Location: The hotel is very well situated for the many attractions in the area.
The welcome was very friendly, the building is 400 years old and is tastefully decorated. The room was large, clean and warm.

lovely place and staff

This lovely old building with beamed ceiling room and roll top bath in the en-suite was lovely. Staff very helpful. I would stay again and plan on in the near future. The only thing was there was no shower in the en-suite.

Conigre Hotel

Very nice hotel. Room was well presented, very clean and nice large bathroom - shame there wasn't a shower though. They could have fitted one in. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent. Overall a nice place to stay.
