The hotel was impeccable, right from the second you walk through the door, it's first class at every step.
When you're dropped off by the taxi, it is a little confusing, they'll drop you off infront of an alley and say it's down the way. You think that you were just taken for a ride, as you can't see the door from the road so it's a little worrying. When you do find the door, again it's very unassuming, but once you enter, it's incredible! The entire experience was phenomenal, definitely check out the jazz bar at night for a drink, and have some of the mint tea!
Ideally situated in the medina; the 5 Star Hotel includes 26 rooms and suites most with private terraces and fireplaces; 3 …More
You'd never know that behind a simple black door there was a wonderful garden, a pool and an outstanding hotel. In the middle of the hurly burly of the medina is an oasis of calm; a perfect antidote to the noise of the town. Hotel itself is superb with very friendly, helpful staff. Food is excellent - albeit too much -and rooms are large and comfortable; a great place for a few days.
Le Riad Monceau, what more to say other than it was a great place to stay in the heart of the Medina.
Unbelievable to sit in the courtyard or on the sun terrace and realise your are only minutes from the market. Tranquility amid the husstle & bustle of Djemaa El Fna.
Staff were excellent and couldn't be any more helpfull.
My wife and I were only there for the 4 nights, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Riad Monceau to anyone visiting Marrakech.
Only dissapointment for us, was that we weren't able to attend one of the cooking classes. They looked great.
When we first arrived in Marrakech we had some trepidation when we walked the alleyways towards the hotel but when we reached there what we saw was beyond our imagination , from the architectural splendour to the courteous staff who could not have done anymore to make our stay more pleasurable . From the staff singing happy birthday to my wife to decorating our room in flowers for her birthday. The hotel was the best place in Marrakech and I highly recommend it .
