“Convenient for those ust passing through”

This hotel is on the outer edge of town, perfect for our trip, as we were staying the night on our way north. If one was visiting lovely Ashland for a few days and wanted to be within walking distance of downtown, this would not be the hotel to choose. The breakfast room was sunny, food fresh and ample and the staff attentive.

“"Unexpexpected Surprise"”

After a full day of driving to get to Ashland and a quick trip through the town we were ready for some down time before the "Cabaret Christmas" show at the Cabaret Theatre and was very pleasantly surprised after a quick and painless check in to see our very comfortable and inviting roomy room complete with a little dishwasher! The complimentry breakfast offered alot from boiled eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt, waffles, well you'll just have to give it a try yourself. I did use the free wifi offered in the comfortable lobby and even the 24hr pool after the show! Overall we had a very nice stay and would stay here again in the future. G. Jacopi

“Mixed Bag”

Nice, well maintained and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff, but they initially gave us a room that was already occupied and transferred calls belonging to other guests to us. Can't seem to keep track of their guests.

“Ashland weekend”

Great place to stay in Ashland. A little drive to the Shakespeare Festival but worth it. Quiet and comfortable. Nice little pool and good breakfast. Nice front desk people and very clean overall.

Must see

Don't go anywhere near Ashland Oregon without going to see a play at the pre-eminent Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

“Gonna stay here again!”

Best bed i've ever slept in....in a hotel. Quiet couldn't hear any noise from the hall or other rooms. The gym is just a treadmill and a exercise bike in a tiny room wasn't impressed with that. But overall great stay we will stay there again.

“Nice hotel out by the freeway.”

This hotel is better than other La Quinta Inns I've stayed in. For Ashland hotels in this price range the rooms are large and well appointed. The staff is professional and helpful. The primary problem is the location out by the freeway. If you're in Ashland for the Shakespeare festival, driving into town for the plays is a pain compared to staying in town. (Parking can be very tight in the high season.) The indoor pool seems like a mistake in the summer, but I guess would be pretty nice in the winter. If you just need a place to spend the night or don't mind a little driving it's a perfectly reasonable place to stay.

“will go back”

stayed June 2011, hotel staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, everything was in great working order, even though construction was going on by freeway, it was still quiet, easy access to Ashland, pool was cleaner than expected, read previous reviews about pool, we swam it was great. only wish that it was closer to Ashland, would have liked something within walking distance. all-in all great stay, would go again

“i may return, its convienent for me as my traveling buddy likes to stay there.”

The bed was quite comfortable and had good pillows. The room had a fridge, microwave and blow dryer which was convienent. GREAT water pressure too, which was a real treat if you like lots of water pressure in the shower! The breakfast provided by the hotel/motel was REALLY nice as well as many options includng making your own fresh waffle in a waffle iron!

Area recommendations

Not sure, it depends on whether or not they want to be able to walk to the Shakespeare theatres or just drive.

It is nearly impossible to find a bad restaurant in Ashland, can't think of a type of cooking that's out there that isn't available in Ashland. The largest percentage are 'from scratch cooking' even the breads, sauces and dressings; not like most places use mixes or premade stuff...
