An overall very dissapointing stay. The property was very old and not kept in a good condition. Paint was falling off the walls, furniture worn out and broken, hot water was upon request, the wi-fi was almost non - existing. Breakfast time was embarrassing for us, as we had to ask for everything -to cut fruit, to bring milk and there were only two rooms booked. The cleaning lady was the cook and her and the receptionist had an attitude when we had questions. The pool area was absurd -dont trust the photos, as the only good job this guys did was to hire a professional photographer.

They turn off the gas for hot water after about 9 or 10 at night, so you have to ask then wait 10 minutes if you want to take a shower after that. The manager on staff has to let everyone in and out with a key, which has its pros and cons. Hot water lasts about 10 minutes for a shower. Nice staff. Pool is nice. Wifi. They never hassled me about having a guest over. Nice part of town.

Nice spot to get away within the city
Clean, safe spot with friendly staff. Good neighboorhood. Short Uber trip to nearly everywhere I went. Great Value. Good books laid out as well - unique, nice touch :) It was a great place to recharge and focus after staying in some other more busier/noisy areas.

A quaint little hotel
Very nice little hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. The turcos worked well. Overall, a nice place. Recommend.

Very nice, not the most convenient
Very quiet, clean place with a friendly, helpful staff (they do not speak English though, so be ready)in a very safe area. Not really convenient to any of the tourist attractions other than the stadium, though. It's also not the easiest to find, tucked in a residential neighborhood with no signs (if the Trip Advisor sticker wasn't in the window it would be nearly impossible to find, so keep your eyes peeled).

Hotel was nice and the staff was nice. One only thing was there was no AC but at least the nights were cool and they gave us several fans.

Nice, quiet, local neighborhood
I thought this was a lovely place, off the beaten track a bit which made it wonderfully quiet. The metro was within walking, or you could take a taxi.

a weekend stay at Molicie
I stayed there 2 nights. It is a small hotel. My room was quite small. The bathroom is quite small also. Every thing worked fine. There's no air conditioning. But in Medellin, there's really no need for air conditioning. It only gets hot between 2 and 5 o'clock in the afternoon and there's fan in the room for that. Around 5 o'clock you would have to turn off the fan, because it starts getting cool. The neighborhood is nice and safe and great for jogging in the morning. There are a few good restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were really nice and courteous.

Surprisingly better than I would've expected
I wouldn't really call this a hotel. For me it was more like a bed and breakfast style dorm of sorts. Still the place rather surprised me as it turned out to be much better than I would've ever expected. The negatives were the location as it's way far away from the main areas of Poblado were my business was. There's no parking lot so you either have to park on the street or in the tiny 1 car garage which is a real pain to get in and out of. I would stay here again but only if I couldn't find another place closer to town.

Small but pleasantly satisfying.
The hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable, away from the hustle of everyday life. There's a pool but it was a little small, mainly for relaxing along side a jacuzzi and sauna. The hotel staff was nice and very eager to please. Breakfast was cooked to order daily with fresh juice and fruits.

The owner was helpful and tried to advise us about our safety and wearing jewelry. She also serve us at the breakfast table and was very patient with our special requests. They helped us arrange tours with other companies.

Nice home-hotel
We had a pleasant experience in this hotel, we stayed 7 nights and the staff was friendly and we felt like home. The vecinity felt safe with buses and taxis closeby and the Metro station La Floresta was not too far but a 15 min walk. The only thing to complain was the beds: "too hard", this need improvement for a hotel -spa. The massages and jacuzzi was great and the breakfast is above continental.

Molicie hotel es bueno
It was originally only for 2 days but it was so comfortable, we ended up staying an extra day. The neighborhood is quiet & not to far from the metro. There are collectivios close that can take you anywhere in Medellin for less than 2,000

Comfortable boutique hotel
Pleasant stay with small but nice room. The breakfast wer great and served in nice environment.staff very attentive . The room was booked for one person not two that I wanted.maybe because I flew by myself. The additional charge for three nights was approximate fifty dollars which seems a little high. Nice neighborhood quiet even on New Year's Eve.....felt safe walking around. Good experience

The Best
This Hotel is situated in the Barrio Los Colores neighbourhood in Medellin. Although I was initially attracted to the hotel due to it's low price, I found it far more pleasurable to stay here as opposed to El Poblada, where I stayed during my first visit. This neighbourhood is the REAL Colombia, and not the fluffy tourist region that is El Poblado. Calle 80 and Colombia (Calle 50) are wonderful roads nearby that are filled with authentic stores and vendors. Also a short walking distance to the Estadio Atanasio Girardot and all the wonderful athletic venues surrounding it. Every city in the world should have a place like this.

This was not a hotel it was a home..
This was a home in a residential area. Aldouh clean, and a nice staff the staff was very incompetent. The neighbors had barking dogs, when we asked to staff to do something about it , they ignored us and never even approached the neighbors on the matter. the place should be called a B&B but they dint even offer free breakfast the added cost $ 5.00 plus. Very deceiving ad on Expedia.com We could not tell it was not a hotel. It is also very far from downtown or the airport, 1 hr. by taxi for a cost of.$ 30.00 .

A lovely place to stay
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They even walked me to the train station. They let me use their computer and made wonderful breakfasts in the morning. They are a boutique hotel that caters to both vacationers and business folk. I loved my stay... a second home. Its location is a pretty quick train ride from the city center (but you must walk a ways to the station). I felt safe in their neighborhood, unlike how I felt in the center. I highly recommend this hotel!!

A spa and a B and B in one!
When I made the reservations I picked this place just for the price. When we got there we found it to be in a quiet, residential neighborhood yet just a few blocks from restaurants and stores. But the best part was to find out they had a little swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and massages! We were in heaven! Yes, the rooms are a bit small, but spotlessly clean and colorfully decorated. The food was good and it was convenient to have breakfast there and to not have to go out and look for it. We appreciated the good wifi too. The staff was super nice and helpful. They always called a taxi for us, so we wouldn't have to go out and look for one. We also took the metro which is about a 15 minute walk away. But for us the best part was the nightly sauna and a massage. (Thanks Vanessa and her partner!)

Quiet but too far from the places we wanted to see
In a quiet residential neighborhood, this hotel was undergoing remodeling during our stay, so certain areas were a bit dirty most times during the day with workmen traipsing up and down the stairs. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the breakfasts were nice. However, though TripAdvisor's page (the portal through which we booked this) assured us the breakfasts were included (not surprising, as most of our hotel stays in Colombia have included the breakfast), we were routed to Expedia for the actual booking, and the hotel told us when we settled our account that our breakfasts were not included! Further, the hotel tried to include some kind of liability insurance package at an extra cost, which we resolutely refused. We've never been asked by a hotel to opt in for a liability insurance package! All the key areas we desired to visit while in Medellin were far away from this hotel, so we were in taxis and on the Metro quite a bit. The staff was kind enough to call for taxis, but we'd not anticipated the size of the city and the difficulty navigating its vast size and huge elevation changes. Having said that, if you are looking for a quiet room at a good value and don't mind constantly using taxis and mass transit (note: we love to walk, but Medellin is not a walkable city), you could be satisfied with this choice.

Making wonderful memories
A small hotel in a middle-class residential neighborhood, the Molicie Casa Hotel makes you feel that you are within the community rather than within the central business district. It is within easy walking distance of the Metro. Ask for a room with a balcony. My favorite moments were reading there, watching and listening to unfamiliar birds in the morning, and watching fruit, vegetable and flower vendors announce their wares as they walked down the street. Breakfast was delicious but could be even better if fresh coffee were featured. My family enjoyed the small pool, jaccuzzi, steam room and sauna. Staff members were attentive to our needs. Our stay was a great value as well as a wonderful memory.

Getting real in Medellin
El Poblado is not very representative of Medellin - it's a place for flashy restaurants, backpacker hostels, snobby hotels, and malls. If you want to check out life in a middle-class barrio, maybe this hotel will be the place. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Floresta Metro station, and is in a quiet, leafy neighborhood. There's hardly any traffic around this residential area, except during rush hours. That's nice, but it also means that cars can go as fast as they want - be careful, pedestrian. There aren't any great restaurant options nearby nor any real tourist sites. The hotel is smallish, and my room was quite small with a flimsy curtain. I think other guests saw me in the raw as the curtain blew open as I came out of the shower. The room 301 on the top floor is for families and has lots of space and privacy. There is a nice work area, balcony, and on the top floor a terrace which is great to hang out around sundown and after (during the heat of the day, not). Oh, and there is a 2 person sauna, 2 person steam room and a small pool.

Nice place
Nice little hotel in a quiet neighborhood. More of a bed & breakfast than a traditional hotel. The staff is outstanding, very friendly and helpful - typical of paisas. The hotel is close to a nice park called "Cerro el Volador", that is very safe and has excellent views of the city. A great spot for those that like to jog or walk. If you stay in this hotel you will not be disappointed.

Nice place but a but difficult to reach.
Simple hotel with rooms for a reasonable price. Very friendly staff. Nice place to stay but relative difficult to reach: Metrostation (Cisneros) is about 15 min walking and the taxi drivers had a hardtime to locate the hotel.

Terrible la mitad de las fotos son una farsa, el tv no funcionaba, el jacuzzi en reparación, el sauna un pago extra por persona de 25.000 el desayuno que supuestamente es tipo buffet solo huevos y pan, el secador de cabello inservible. En mi opinión terrible.

One of the cleaning lady went through my belongings and stole 200,000 pesos (about $ 50. Can). I reported to the manager and she did nothing. I suspect she is part of the criminal activity going on in this hotel. The name on the Registro National de Tourismo # 20312 "Caldera Guzman Katty Ligeria" is not the person who is managing the hotel. This outfit is run by a Crime family. Expedia and Tripadvisor must investigate immediately. I have photos.

Horrible, el concepto es Guest House no de Hotel, las habitaciones no tenían aire acondicionado, los mattress de las camas estaban duros, sitio bien solitario lejos de todo. El trato de la Host fue muy hostil solo nos quedamos una noche nos fuimos del hotel y estoy esperando me contesten la reclamación de la devolución del dinero. No lo recomiendo.

Excelente atención, mi habitación era cómoda y contaba con lo necesario para mi estadía. Aun cuando salí temprano del hotel me facilitaron el desayuno incluso antes de la hora a la que abren el servicio.
