Stayed for 3 nights while visiting locals. Rooms are luxurious, large, comfortable and nicely decorated - almost a suite. The bar area downstairs had plenty of room and comfy seating and the staff were nice. The location is very central and away from traffic. The vehicular access via the car park was a tortuous. Can't comment on the dining, as we didn't do any there.
Halle is one of the former East Germany's last to emerge from its DDR past. There's still evidence of WWII ruins within the city itself, to include a ruined apartment building adjacent to the hotel. Great staff. No A/C but the place was clean and the price was right. Walking distance to the main rail station and its many fast food eateries. A taste of the former East is alive and well in Halle, better hurry it will soon be gone... .
We were attending an event at the castle, which is around 200 m from the hotel, and could not be more convenient. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the facilities were excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is built in the style of the surrounding buildings and blends in very nicely. The restaurant food was gorgeous, so we had meals in the hotel every night.
Straight across from the hotel, there's a lovely well kept park. It is pretty extensive and the flowers were lovely.
Merseburg is a small town with friendly people and the hotel is five minutes walk from the centre. If I was returning for another visit, I would not hesitate to book the radisson blu there once again. I really enjoyed my stay there
