“Great property - beautiful grounds”

Loved it! The grounds are beautiful. Very close and easy walk to the beach. Nice pool. I would recommend looking at the property lay out and requesting a building. I would definitely suggest paying the little extra as we did and request a garden view (or ocean view if you prefer - but it is further from the pool). The standard one bedrooms etc are across the parking lot from pool and fountains. Would definitely stay there again.

“It is what it is”

Close to shops and food,great beach,decent facilities. Drawbacks-birds are noisy at sunrise,hideaway couch matress was thin and uncomfortable,tv was outdated. If you are looking for a no frills without the fanciness this is the place.

“Not impressed”

The grounds were very well kept, but this is the only positive thing we can say. Condo was dated and the bedding was old and had a lumpy mattress, overall it was clean. There were no beach chairs available, although we were pretty sure they were in the owners locker. Dishes and cuttlery were bare minimum. Main complaint was the pool. Only one for 10 buildings and overun with children with little supervision. This was in the low season so i cant imagine what it must be like in the high season.

Kihei. good beaches. Also Kaanapali area

“Good location, great space, some rooms outdated”

Good location, near several nice beaches, nice park across the street to watch sunset. Hotel space was good - great for a family vacation. Our room had outdated furniture, but another friend's who was also staying there had a more updated room (they are individually owned). But either way, it worked for us. Grills on site if you want to cook (also full kitchen). Front desk staff wasn't particularly helpful - when we arrived (LATE) our smoke detector was "chirping" and they didn't want to find us a battery - we had to demand it for safety reasons. Mid-stay cleaning isn't much - just new towels & a made bed. A few good/inexpensive restaurants nearby - Fred's Mexican & 808 Bistro (BYOB).

Area recommendations

Kehei is a nice area - not near as built up as Lahaina. The beaches are nicer, but there isn't as much in the town. This location has a few inexpensive restaurants as well.

“Definately going back to the Kamole Sands again”

Very nice condos. Very good location in Kiehi. Beautiful beaches across the street. All chairs, coolers and beach accessories were in the room. Very quiet and relaxed vacation. Am looking forward to our next vacation and would definately want to stay at the Kamole Sands again.

“Had a great time!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands condo. The grounds were well kept, the condos were clean, and the complex was located in a very convenient location. I would recommend it to others.

“Great for families, poor cleaning”

We had a fabulous holiday in Maui and our apartment at the Kamaole Sands was great. My only complaint was with regards to the 'cleaning': 1. They only clean your room/apartment maximum once per week. 2. When they clean it is literally a surface clean, they won't wipe down the bench if you leave a chopping board there with a few crumbs! 3. They often over look the floors and bathrooms. I loved the Mai Tai parties and the actual setting is perfect with Grills available for all to use and a beautiful sunset across the way. Next time I would prefer to stay in Lahaina vs Kihei - there really isn't much nearby this hotel.

“Nothing special”

Hotel is worn, the staff is unfriendly and unaccomodating. Great location and beautiful grounds.

The Wailea beaches just can't be beat. Each one is more beautiful than the next. Access is granted to the public on every beach (even in front of the fancy, celebrity resorts) so look for the blue " shoreline access " signs and don't be shy about walking through the hotel grounds.

“Making great meories!!!”

Frist time in Hawaii, really nice and simple, great weather everything went really smooth, food was great!!! I really don't have anything bad to say. I wish I had more time. I have 5 people in my family and if we cooked and and took it easy it's about $200.00 a day...not bad....can't wait to come back.
