“Very pleasant - very difficult to find”

Good Hotel - excellent staff - good facilities - right on the coast Really hard to find - make sure your sat nav has the right Posidonos Avenue selected - there are 3 along the same stretch of coast

“Aquamarina Hotel”

The Staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and the location was very convenient. I would definitely stay there again. It was a very pleasant experience. Christine.

“Nice hotel and good location”

The hotel is in a nice location just on the seashore, the neighborhood is also pretty, the hotel services are very good and everywhere is clean. The average age of the guests though is very high, therefore the silence and the quite environment is a kind of hotel's must. Also the timing of the majority of services (pool, spa, fitness center) is totally weird and useless for many guests: from 11am to 8pm.

“They lied to Expedia!”

I would never stay there and never recommend it if you want an airport hotel. It would have been easier to take the metro for $3 euro into Athens and stay the night, and return by metro, also. For a traveler, it offered nothing. It wasn't very clean, the night clerk was a nice young man who tried to handle the situation, but couldn't. It was a $100 euro ride to and from the airport. That is not what I call providing transportation for a "surcharge". The morning clerk was not nice at all, but she did call the taxi-her uncle, probably.

“Hotel Aquamarina in Mati liegt direkt am Oststrand gegenüber von Athen”

Hotel ist sauber mit grossem Früstücksbuffet. Service ist freundlich und bemüht. Zimmer top mit Meerblick und Klima. Umgebung erinnert ein wenig an Lignano - Strand voller Touristen, teilweise Diskomusik bis in die Nacht, viele gemütliche Restaurants. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 8 Personen, alle waren zufrieden. Preis/Leistung stimmt, empfehlenswert.

“Gutes Hotel in der Nähe von Athen”

Preis Leistung stimmt. Direkt am Meer gelegen mit angenehmen Pool. Nächste Busstation ist relativ weit entfernt. (15 Min. zu Fuss)

“Hotel Aquamarin liegt an einer kleinen naturbelassenen Bucht”

Ohne Auto und Karte ist man dort ziemlich aufgeschmissen. Die Straßenbeschliderung lässt auch ziemlich zu wünschen übrig. Die Einbauschränke haben kleine Lebewesen in Form von Holzwürmern. Aber die Handtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt. Die Matratzen sind sauber, aber sehr hart. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfallslos, liegt wohl daran das Griechen im allgemeinen nicht frühstücken. Teilweise gab es Baguette vom Vortag, das man nur durch toasten wieder knusprig bekommt. Wen es nicht stört, dass das Personal im Raum rumsteht und sich unterhält ist hier auch gut aufgehoben. Vier Sterne bekommt man halt wegen des vorhandenen Föns, Telefon, Fernseher und Klimaanlage. Das Hotel wird viel von Seminarteilnehmern genutzt, die aber nicht weiter stören. Zum Baden hat uns die wirklich naturbelassene Bucht nicht gefallen. Da fährt man besser zum Café La Costa Richtung Nea Makri.

Area recommendations
Im Moment glaub`ich eher die Inseln, da man sich als Deutscher auf dem Festland im Moment nicht wirklich wohlfühlt. Man bekommt schon einige Seitenhiebe der Griechen ab. Auf den Inseln soll es, laut einiger befreundeter Griechen, für deutsche Touristen freundlicher sein.
Getting around
Mit dem Auto, aber Vorsicht, Griechen haben es generell sehr eilig und Verkehrsregeln gibt es zwar, aber der Schnellere hat halt Vorfahrt.
What to pack
Auf jeden Fall eine gute Straßenkarte und gute Nerven.
Shopping
Sehr teuer.
