Beds made of granite

Posted 16-Apr-2015
Pros: The breakfast was free and had a good selection of items including make-your-own waffles.
Cons: Get some beds that weren't mined in a quarry.
Location: The location was close to a busy road, but our rooms were in back so the road noise was reduced. Be sure to go to Bigelow's Fried Clams close by.
The room was clean and up to date with plenty of storage space but little room to walk around. The bathroom seemed to be remodeled recently and was clean with a spacious bathtub/shower. HOWEVER, the beds seemed to be constructed of granite since they were rock hard. The only people who would find these beds comfortable would be those accustomed to sleeping on a sheet of cardboard on the sidewalk. I tossed and turned all night from the pain in my hips, back, shoulders and arms. I barely slept and wished the whole night long that morning would arrive. At one point, I peered over my wife to look at the alarm clock to see that it was ONLY 3:30 AM -- four more hours of agony ahead. I contemplated sleeping in the car since it would have been more comfortable, but it was too cold outside. I finally got up in the morning with excruciating back spasms that required analgesic to alleviate. Both my wife and my daughter were uncomfortable too, but they managed to get some rest since they went to bed exhausted from the day's travels. I too was exhausted at bedtime and remained so during the horrific night. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU PLAN ON SLEEPING IN COMFORT.

Great hotel close to lots of things.

Pros: Its all you could want in a place to stay.
Location: Beach, easy access to train. Lots to do nearby.
Love staying here. Always clean and comfortable. Not filled with riff raff like some other nearby places.

We really use this as a place to sleep, but it works and not just because it is close to my in-laws. It is clean and the rooms are nice. They have a small swimming pool and the kids enjoy that.

Pros: The friendly and courteous staff
Cons: Pool could be a little warmer
Location: TONS of stores, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. nearby. LIRR train station within walking distance.
The hotel is clean as are the rooms. The staff is VERY accommodating and went out of their way to honor a request that we had. The pool is clean and comfortable and the breakfast is adequate. Overall, a very nice place to stay with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.

Had to attend a wake in Massapequa and the hotel was located 5 minutes from the funeral home. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. This was my second time staying here and was not disappointed.

STAYED SAFE ON NEW YEARS EVE.

Posted 02-Jan-2015
I WORK 3O MILES AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE AND I WAS GOING TO A NEW YEARS EVE PARTY NEAR WORK SO IT MADE THE NIGHT MUCH SAFER TO STAY IN THE AREA INSTEAD OF TRAVELLING 60 MILES TO GET BACK WORK THE NEXT MORNING.

Amazing!

Posted 09-Oct-2014
Pros: Cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Availability of staff at all times.
Cons: At check-in I was told the price was 140, but at checkout tax was added and I was told 155. Please tell me full price per night at check-in.
Location: Sunrise Mall is nearby. Dairy Queen. Panera Bread.
Very clean! Staff was very nice. Felt like a safe location. I would definitely come here again every time I visit long Island. I aim for cheap hotels/motels. This is a bit more expensive ($155) than Days Inn ($140), but the quality of the Best Western is much much better.
