Stayed 2 nights. Room was fine and not dated. Air con. could have been much more effective, seemed to blow air rather than cool so room was too hot at night. Breakfast was fair, breads could be fresher and limited choice overall. Staff friendly. No restaurant.

The hotel was under renovations and the restaurant was therefore closed and so was the café. I was unable to get any food for my three day stay that I was there as everything locally was also shut. It would’ve been nice for this to be on the website when I booked the hotel.

Staff were good though I had little interaction. The problem was the noise. On arrival I requested somewhere quiet. At reception I was told it is a quiet area at night!! A party arrived around midnight and decided to pretty much wake up most of the lower floors shouting and singing. The barman closed the bar early (0130) so the party moved to the street outside where it continued until 0330 in the morning. I would suggest on arrival insist on a room away from the street if possible if like me you want to sleep at night.

We found the Reception on check in very helpful, with directions for secure parking behind the building, and he spoke reasonable English which was helpful after a long tiring day travelling. We had three adults in one room, with a large double bed but one small fold down bed which was probably fine for a child. The rooms did not have any complimentary tea/coffee or soaps. The breakfast was very good, with a paper supplied. The hot beverages machine was very hot which was great. The location was right on the canal and only five to ten minutes walk to restaurants, however on a Saturday night in February we found very little was open. A lovely area to walk around, even in winter. A coastal town out of the bustle of Marseille. Near the Hotel, Sunday morning had a busy fresh produce market which the locals were buying.

Handy stop-off point
My wife and I stopped off for one night at this hotel as the first destination on a tour around Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon in early September. As we had flown into Marseilles we chose it due to its closeness to the airport and to the picturesque part of Martigues. For a hotel of this type (budget, no-frills) we found it excellent in every respect - well furnished clean room,friendly staff, free parking and reasonable cost. The self-service breakfast was very good value for the choices offered. We would certainly recommend it highly in this category.

Ibis Martigue
Looks new, spotless clean. Typical room of Ibis. Quiet, plenty parking. Five minutes walk to downtown with small shopes, cafe's and marina. About 20 minutes drive to Marseille airport.

Nous avons attendu 40 minutes pour boire un verre le soir .. qu’on nous a servi dans des verres vraiment inadaptés ( parce qu’il n’y avait plus de verres ) Un personnel de soir très jeune et je pense avec peu d’expérience , qui étaient complètement désemparés face à la clientèle nombreuse .. pas suffisamment de personnel pour assurer un service convenable ! Et le matin lors du déjeuner, pas de couverts ( il n’y en avait plus ) et pour les œufs brouillés il faut revenir plus tard ou bien arriver les 1 ers afin de pouvoir se servir .. il manque vraiment de personnel et cela se ressent sur le service et c’est très décevant ! L’hôtel étant à proximité de salle de concert ..pourrait faire en sorte de mettre du personnel à disposition en fonction des événements organisés dans la ville.. Nous ne serons pas les seuls à donner un avis médiocre à l’hôtel .! Et surtout on ne nous demande absolument pas au départ si notre séjour s’est bien déroulé ..

Chambre 112 très bien sonorisée via les gaines Nous avions pu compter les coups de marteau d'un intervenant X à l'heure de la sieste, puis entendre des cris la nuit suivante passé de trois à cinq heures ... Chambre pour deux avec une chaise, pas de repose valises ... Et on passe sur l'odeur de colle dans le couloir sans moquette, chantier en cours On a payé plein tarif ... PDJ 5/5 par contre

Pas de climatisation temperature avoisinant les 30 degrés . Chambre donnant sur une voie à grande circulation, bruyante impossible de trouver le sommeil. Aucun signalement du problème de climatisation, aucune réduction proposée à l'accueil. A déconseiller.
