A short walk from the train station. It is completely secure requiring hotel card entry at night and for the lifts. Its a 15 minute walk away from the old port which is a great place to eat and drink

Not as good as expected
Hotel room was tiny, bathroom was even smaller, very compact, struggled to brush my hair without banging the wall. bed very uncomfortable and bathroom full of ants all over the floors and up the walls in the bedroom however location was great and reception staff and bar staff lovely and breakfast was very good

The location was perfect for us as it was close to the train station, metro and airport bus. Just 2 metro stops to the old port. Good restaurants all around the area.

Ibis Marseille 2
A very pleasant stay in a conveniently located hotel. Staff are friendly and facilities are normal for an Ibis red hotel. Beware that there is no kettle or fridge in the room . I did not have breakfast there because I did not want a big breakfast so the 11 euro buffet was not required

Leaking toilet
On the second night, the bathroom was a little whiffy. The next morning, the bathroom was definitely smelly. I discovered a brown pool of liquid which seemed to have leaked from the bottom edge of the toilet onto the floor between the toilet and the bathroom window.

We stayed here as a stop over for one night. Very convenient location, right next to the Saint Charles railway station. Getting in and out is very easy. Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish in the surrounding area of the hotel near the train station (not their fault). Room size was decent, however shower is on the smaller size. Rooms and hotel is quite dated but good for one nights stay and the price. Easy 10-15 minute walk to port with lots of restaurants.

Nice terrace & breakfast, rest disappointing
Buffet breakfast was great, with a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy it on, and the cafe was also great. The rest was disappointing - room was horribly hot, even with aircon on max, in normal 30C summer heat, bathroom teeny tiny, room key cards would just stop working and need to be reset, witnessed several very unhygenic practices from cafe and restaurant staff, no luggage storage room like most hotels but instead expensive lockers. Could be a great hotel if they improve their air conditioning system, offer standard amenities and train staff better.

Rooms and bathroom too small. Slipped stepping DOWN from the shower onto tile floor. Banged body parts on the way down. Not enough room to fall without hitting doors walls etc.

Very Basic Budget Hotel with Tiny Rooms
Single big plus of the hotel is the proximity to the main train station. This results in the hotel always being very busy & crowded. The front desk is not the most welcoming or professional. We were on the 1st floor overlooking the parking lot. It’s a very basic budget hotel with some of the smallest rooms & bathroom I have seen in 30 years of my regular travel. No tea/coffee kettle, hard beds and a single pillow. Only giving you the facts. I know if it’s a good rate you’re getting, people will book it.

This is an awesome location beside the train station. View was great and it's only a short walk to delicious dining spots. The bed was comfortable and the shower perfect. The only downside was the unsavory men hangibg aroubd outside and approaching us.

Very unfriendly staff at front desk. It seems they don’t want to be bothered with any questions. If they don’t like their job, they better stay home. Breakfast area very overcrowded and the clientele was not my cup of tea. I saw their fingers in the buffet several times. Location is great and the hotel needs a real refurbishment

Ibis station - great value
Really happy. Good location. Value for money, those on a budget this works, and good for getting bus to and from airport. Bit you need to be aware it’s in the station and late nihht announcements etc. I didn’t mind tho. Breakfast basic but fine. Nice staff. Clean. I will be back! Thank for making my 3 nights happy ones.

6.30am fire alarm
On out last night/morning, we were woken up by a 6.30am fire alarm. We quickly dressed and went down the fire stairs - which I am happy to say were wide and well-lit and there was no crowding as guests made their way down and out the front of the hotel. There was no organisation from staff. We only found out we could return to our room when I sent my French speaking daughter in to talk to the staff in reception.

It is okay if you stay for one night. The hotel is located just next to the train station so it's very convenient. However, the bed is not comfortable, the AC doesn't work well and it's clean but old. The staff is nice and the breakfast was good overrall. It's a 3 stars, don't expect much.

What a gem of a hotel! The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but clean. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner.

Twin Bed that wasn't
We booked a room for three people with a double bed, a twin bed and a sofa bed. It turned out that the sofa bed WAS the twin bed. Our third was an adult and the folded down sofa bed was okay for two nights but anything more (especially if not thoroughly exhausted after two days flying/training from Australia) would not have been bearable.

Only two outlets in room and they are inconveniently positioned beneath a counter. Building difficult to get to. It is conveniently located basically on the grounds of the train station but roads are closed to public traffic.only access is by foot. Long way to haul your bags. luggage. station

Tired but with great staff
The hotel has a great location a few minutes from the main Saint Charles station with express buses to the Marseille airport and around a 15 min walk to the marina area. The hotel itself is tired with fairly small rooms. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. This is a good clean hotel if you intend on spending most of your time exploring and enjoying the city but not a destination in itself.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the station. Very easy to check in. The bathroom was cramped and in need of some repair. There were only 2 power outlets in the entire room.

The hotel is located very close to the train station. Easy to roll suitcases over to the station. No noise from trains but could hear people talking if window was open. Rooms are basic but appropriately priced. Comfortable beds, small shower stall. The breakfast was excellent. Well worth the cost. The dinner in the dining room was also very good. Outstanding, hard-working, accommodating restaurant staff. Easy check-in and check-out.
