A little haven in Marrakech!

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: The staff's professionalism, the facilities, the food and the comfort.
Cons: Nothing- all perfect!
Location: Marrakech city centre a short 10 minute drive away- the Souks, gardens, palace and comptair darna are brilliant.
Before booking our trip to Marrkech I did extensive research on where to stay and the previous reviews of the Hotel Sirayane lead me to choose the hotel for our holiday. I'm so glad we stayed there as it was absolutely fantastic and I'm usually hard to please with high expectations. I cannot fault the hotel at all, the staff were very friendly and so helpful- always looking to go that extra mile for the hotel guests. The room was gorgeous, the hotel actually upgraded us for free to a deluxe room with a balcony which was lovely. Nice and clean with top notch facilities and we were able to drink the water from the tap which is a nice rarity in Arab countries. The maid came twice a day and left lovely little touches like rose petals on our pillows. The hotel facilities were great, games room where you can watch sports, play pool, have a couple of drinks and do shisha. Library with books and a computer. Two pools (one heated, one normal) with comfy sunbeds around the outside and fresh beach towels that the hotel provide. Wifi which I have to admit wasn't the best signal, but it was okay for what we needed it for. The food in the restaurant was lovely and always fresh for breakfast. The dinner menu offered traditional Morrocan and English choices so you could get a variety for different preferences, although I do recommend trying the traditional Moroccan food, particularly the pastillas as they are really unique and a must whilst in Morocco. On the first day the owner came over

Pros: as above
Location: Close to Marrakech centre and excursions can be arranged further afield.
Convenient location short drive (hotel courtesy car) from hustle and bustle of Medina and also from airport. Small hotel with high levels of service and very good food and peaceful setting.

Peaceful hotel outside of Marrakech

Posted 01-Mar-2015
Pros: Good view of the Atlas Mountains. Peaceful location.
Cons: A bit more choice at breakfast would be good.
Location: 20 minute shuttle ride from the medina - plenty to do once in town.
Great staff, good location, good facilities. The shuttle into town is very helpful. Good choice for a relaxing stay in Marrakech.

Nice boutique hotel but outside main city

Posted 19-Feb-2015
Pros: Nice contemporary boutique hotel with excellent feel to it and well maintained. The owner and food and beverage manager were very welcoming.
Cons: Very limited choice of breakfast for a 5* star hotel and needed constant reminding to top up when certain selection of food were low on supply.
Location: No other facilities within walking distance and in the middle of nowhere. About 15 minute drive to the airport and 29 minute drive to the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the hotel. Reason for 4 star although it is an excellent hotel with good modern decor and would recommend, there are no other facilities within walking distance. We missed going out on long walks outside the hotel as it was in middle of nowhere.

Ce que nous recherchions et mieux encore !

Posted 27-Jan-2015

Fantastic luxury hotel on outskirts of Marrakesh

Posted 28-Dec-2014
Pros: The staff, the decor in the hotel , the room. Everything really, one of the nicest 5 star hotels I've stayed at.
Cons: We found the food to be too sweet, the internet was slower than expected (needed rather) for work purposes. It seems to be in most hotels here though.
Location: The location itself has nothing immediate in its vicinity I don't think - however with a short ride to the city it has access to city centre.
The hotel is situated a close 20 min drive from the city Centre with frequent (free) shuttles drive - a 6 seater, arrives and departs timely. The hotel itself is a very comfortable size and very much a haven away from the bustle of the main town. We have visited a few hotels now in Morocco, and this is by far one of the nicest. Its modern, not constricted by a typical overly Moroccan style like some of the others. The decor is stunning - minimalist and very functional yet comfortable. We loved the room, the garden, the pool area was great and the chill-out / dining rooms as well. The staff are perhaps the most friendly and helpful I've encountered in any hotel - its clear they are all part of a big warm family rather than some the chain-like hotels. It was a refreshing change to speak with staff members who understand our orders and have great English (its shocking how often we get the wrong order due to our lack of proficiency in French/Native tongue). I can count at least 3 occasions they went out of their way in a manner other hotel staff members have not. The massages were great and the spa was a lovely experience. A particular nice touch is that senior staff enquire daily in a casual and friendly manner making sure everything is ok.

Concrete heaven

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Pros: - clean, well equipped modern rooms - great food, especially the buffet breakfast - welcoming staff
Cons: - atmosphere was rather lacking, but perhaps due to it being low season - Not much to do nearby, need to drive into town
Location: - nothing nearby - need to make use of the hotel facilities and restaurant (expensive) or drive into town
Spent a pleasant quiet night in this well equipped, welcoming and nicely finished hotel, just realize it's a bit distant from the city although they run a shuttle service (charged) to help those without transport and for airport transfers.
