“Extremely...”
...helpful staff, lovely Riad, good location at the heart of the Medina, convenient for exploring the souks
“Be part of Marrachech”
Authentic Riad deep in the Medina. Once through the 'door in the wall' an oasis of calm and comfort - great.
“A Hidden Gem”
Riad Yasmine is located in the Medina neighbourhood within easy walk of the Souks and the main square and most of the tourist attractions (we took a taxi to the Yves St Laurent gardens). When you first arrive at the front door you wonder what to expect as the streets are very dirty and tatty and the entrance to the Riad is just an old studded door in a wall. However inside it's beautiful, traditionally Moroccan with tiled floors and a central courtyard with the rooms entranced from it. It is spotlessly clean and the staff and welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are traditional in decor and furnished in an authentic style. The bathrooms are tiled in mosaic tile and again are extremely clean. If we visit Marrakech again we would definitely stay here.
“v nice riad”
great service, good breakfast would recommend
“It felt like home”
Rarely is a hotel look as good as the pictures in the brochure. But this one was. Apart from needing an upgrade to the sunbeds on the roof, everything was near perfect. Breakfasts were especially good. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. Service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They were never pushy nor obsequious. We felt at home within minutes of arrival.
“Quiet oasis - a real find!”
When the door to the Riad opened after a tiring journey we couldn't believe how quiet and tranquil it was compared the hustle and bustle and noise of the city itself. If you are looking for a small hotel with a friendly service away from the noise of the city then this is the hotel for you. The souks are only a short walk away if you don't get lost. The food in the hotel is excellent, should you wish to stay and eat in one night. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay here and would recommend to anyone planning a visit to Marrakech.
“Convenient and full of atmosphere”
Riad Yasmine is a well run 8 room hotel just north of the souks in the Marrakech Medina. There is a taxi rank just round the corner. The staff are extremely helpful and evening meals, ordered in advance, are excellent but about english prices(as are outside restaurant prices). Beer and wine are available. Full of atmosphere and quiet, what more can you ask?
“An oasis”
Riad Yasmine is situated away from the touristy areas which we found to our liking.Round the corner was a square with a few shops and stalls used by the local people. One can walk to the centre i.e Jemaa el fna but you are likely to get lost.At the square there is a taxi point but taxis could also be hailed down as they passed by. There is also a daytime bus which passes Jemaa el fna and the Koutoubia Mosque. The riad itself is delightful and exotic, the rooms on two floors are all situated to look over a central courtyard which has a pool. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. They were meticulous with their service and took great pride in their work.
“Do not recommend marrakech”
Although the staff were pleasant got the feeling that they were keen to make as much money from us as possible. Booked us into recommended restaurants where set 3 course meal and a local beer cost £50 per person. Arranged a taxi who tried to charge £20 for a 5 minute journey. In the end we paid £10 and got one ourselves for the return journey for £5. it was nor their fault that boys with catapults hit us with stones but it was a very poor area and although we dressed sympathetically for the culture we were obvious targets. The hotel did provide ice for my daughters swollen finger
“Excellent Riad”
Riad Yasmine is a haven of calm - which is just what you need to retreat to after the whirlwind of activity that is everywhere outside. Our room was spacious and very clean, although a little chilly when going back at night in mid February. I'm sure that heaters would have been provided if we had asked. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful; available 24hrs. We didn't eat evening meals there as we looked forward to the buzz of eating outside in Jmaa El Fna but a good breakfast of yoghurt and sweet breads were served with excellent coffee and juice. Mid february was like a nice April day in England but coats needed at night. I felt happier covering up arms and legs as a matter of respect and most women did. Not sure how things change as the weather heats up. The map given to us to get to Jmaa El Fna and the Souks was very basic but if you take to note the landmarks you won't go wrong. I don't think I'm allowed to mention names here but the lovely helpful lady who greeted us wrote the directions to the Riad in Arabic on the map and this was great to show the taxi drivers. Riad Yasmine was a lovely place to stay and we'd recommend it to anyone.
