“A Comfortable Experience”
The hotel was tucked away to the South of Gemma Place and a good 10min walk, the only problem being crossing the roads to get there. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the staff were extremely friendy and all spoke reasonable English. We had two evening meals at the hotel and both were of a good standard. Our breakfast was included in the price - not spectacular, but acceptable. The hotel also had a shuttle service to the airport which proved better value than the taxis (but we weren't the best at bartering). Unfortunately we were in residence at the time of unseasonable weather so the swimming pool and it's area were not frequented, but on inspection, it looked fine. We were very impressed and would recommend it. ps The house Red 'Ksar' is highly recommended!
“Excellent hotel”
I dont tend to write reviews but just returned from a 5 day break from this hotel and cant speak more highly of it. The staff are amazing and will go out their way to help you with what ever you need. The hotel itself is goregous with large spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated and immacutely clean. It is a right next to the palace and 20 min walk to the night market, was a bit worried about the street but we had no issues and that just seems to be Marrakesh! We ate in the restaurant and the food was great but dont go if you are in a rush as the meal seems to take all night. We used the hamman and had a great time, unfortunately the weather was wet so didnt get to the pool although the facitlities looked lovely. We booked the cookery course through the hotel and for anyone interested in the cusine is a must. The chef Amine was brilliant and gave us many ideas that were not part of the menu we were making even giving us tips on how to cook the dishes we liked off the restaurant menu. Mohammad in the reception will help you with anything you need (great when your not use to bargining with taxi drivers)
“Highly Recommended”
Les Borjs de la Kasbah provides relaxation, comfort and has the guests' needs at the foremost priority. Marrakesh is a busy, hectic, chaotic little city, however, behind the gated entry of Les Borjs de la Kasbah one would never know. The hotel is extremely reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and helpful and the offerings provided are what every traveler would need. Great place!
“excellent service at all times”
this well-kept and clean riad has an excellent service which shows with the efforts by all staff to make the guest welcome: in this respect they certainly have exceeded all my expectations. Most staff can speak fluent English and managed to arrange bookings, give advice and overall make sure I was happy with everything. Highly recommended, even though it's not so close to the Djemaa el-fna square, so if you're looking for fun times, maybe you can find a riad closer to the square.
“Good but coud be improved”
I have chosen this riad because it advertised to have a heated pool, but when I have arrived on 31/10/11, the heating was not working. The management explained they had to wait their turn for the service to be switched on and did not wish to pay extra to have it done sooner. Otherwise the riad was nice - clean and quiet as promissed. Not very close to teh centre, requires about 15 mins walk or taxi.
“Amazing contrast!”
Situated well inside the Kasbah, it's amazing how the tranquility, cleanliness and friendliness of "Les Borjs" contrasts so completely with the local neighbourhood. We really enjoyed a week of good weather, great food (Le Jasmine Restaurant) and friendly service of all of the staff. 15-20 minutes walk from the town square, a really memorable week!
“Relaxing Spa Riad”
A beautifully designed Riad with the added bonus of large swimming pool. Although not in the centre of the Marrakech, this hotel is within walking distance of a local souk and large government run store selling everything you can imagine at excellent prices. The Riad had a varied evening menu which was good value and the staff were most helpful. The spa was an added touch of luxury with a fabulous private hamman and heavenly massages. Would highly recommend to couples/friends who want their trip to include relaxation and a vibrant city all in one.
“amazing”
beautiful hotel and in a perfect location
“Faultless”
We've just returned from four nights at BK and it is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. From the smooth airport pick up, to the welcoming reception, the clean, spacious room (we had a standard room), the beautiful building and grounds, and the outstanding service from all staff - I'm not sure there is anything I could fault here. Breakfast was varied and tasty - thoroughly recommend the homemade yogurt and orange juice! Snacks available from the poolside bar were appetizing and portion size was generous. Dinner was superb - in fact, probably the best meals we had in Marrakesh were at the hotel! Tagine, harira, cous cous - all recommended. The spa was lovely. Small but perfectly serviceable. My partner and I both had a hammam, as well as a whole body massage and a foot massage, respectively. Swimming pool area was always clean (in fact, whole hotel was always clean!) and such a treat after the heat of the day! It's a 15/20 minute walk to the main square, but an ideal way to see everyday life in Marrakesh. 15 minutes to Badi Palace and only 10 minutes to the Saadian Tombs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone and everyone!
“What a wonderful oasis, we will definetly being going back”
This hotel was small but delightful. All the staff took time to attend to your needs without going overboard. They could not have been more friendly and attentive. For a small hotel the facilities were excellent, use of a computer to check your emails which was free. A lovely pool which reasonably sized with loungers and small patio bar. The rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean, lovely thick towels and bathrobes. The restaurant was in a lovely courtyard and served continental breakfast which was quite extensive. The menu for the evening was exceptional with classic Moroccan dishes and lovely French cuisine. An organised Moroccan themed evening was great value, again great food and good entertainment. The Spa and Hamman was a truely great experience, I went with my 3 sisters and we did not want to leave. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the main square which was great as you were away from the hetic goings on but close enough if you wanted to visit. The hotel can organise some good excursions and the staff were helpful in suggesting which ones to take given the length on our stay. If you are looking to buy Argen Oil you would be better buying in the hotel as it is 100% authentic and cheaper than buying second rate oil in the souks or pharmacy. The thing to watch is the guides for the trips they stop at various shops etc which are not always the ones you want to go to - be forceful and only go where you want to go Overall Fantasitc
