“Good Value Good location”
Mid way between centre of Paris and Disneyland so convenient for both. Located genuine 5 miute slow walk from station and shops big comfortable apartment, was perfect for the adults and space for the children aged 5 and 3
“Very rude reception staff on arrival”
On arrival I had a very unpleasant experience.Beeing Saturday the reception is closed between 13 and 16, so when I arrived at 13.30 there was noone there.I phoned the telephone number on the reservation, apologising that I was 30 min late but even if I left 2 messages as noene answered the phone I haven't been contacted back so I had to stay in front of the building 30 min until one of the clener opened the front door and let me in to wait in a corridor. Then eventualy she managed to find someone from reception in a room next to reception where it was written Administration but the person told me she can't help me and I have to wait until the reception will reopen at 16.00.Imagine my reaction when at 16.00the same person I talked to 2 hours before as if was seeing me for the firs time in my life welcomed me to this hotel. She could have given me the key from 2 a clock but prefered to keep me waiting for another 2 hours. This is absolutly outrageous, I have been in a lot of places but such behaiviour is inpardonable.Rude person is the least I can tell about her.
“Not overly impressed. OK value for the money.”
Hotel service was unacceptable. Housekeeping staff was nonexistant. 8 Euros for a breakfast (which had to be paid the night before) was a rip-off! Cold coffee and a croisant with no butter available. The front desk has very limited hours and often not those listed. There is no out-going phone service. Nearest public phone is at the train station. The only easy access to Paris is by train (a 3 block walk to the station). There are no shops nearby--only a supermarket 5 blocks away. Not at all a good place to stay if you want to enjoy the social life that Paris has to offer.
“Fine, but dont buy the wifi pass”
You must remember you are renting an apartment. Need to use the RER train not the Metro which many may find expensive. Veronique on reception very helpful. RER trains frequent and convenient. My one quibble is that I paid 12 euro for the use of the wifi for a week with "wifipass". I only got 30 minutes use. I was not the only dissatisfied customer of this company. Their stunts of extracting money are those that existed in the UK & US 30 years ago. Shameful. Owners of City Residences need to speak to wifipass.
“What a fantastic hotel”
when i first search a hotel at arround paris i checked expedia. when i see the price i could believe. i found it really affordable. Then i read some reviews opinion and i was concerned by some opinions. but when I first visit the hotel I found the hotle is clean, our rooms was fantastic the kitchen is really clean with all neccessary equipments. the other good thing is the location to go to central paris and for shopping. I extreamly recomend this hotel for everyone. it is Luxury Hotel if you are a millionair, but for other people it is 100% recommended. Me my family and our friends love the hotel.
“My review at City Residence Bry sur Marne”
Our Reservation was changed from a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 double beds and a couch bed. This is what I booked I BOOKED 2 OF THESE Room: T3 Apartment Non-smoking/Smoking: Non-Smoking Room type: 2 DOUBLE BEDS Special Requests: Guest wants to request an extra couch and wants to be next to each other's room of Alex Young We got a 1 bedroom and 1 couch bed which were as hard as A BRICK. Their hours FOR THE RECEPTION DESK are from 8am to 1pm and 4pm- 8pm which is very difficult to get to talk to someone. I had to waste time the day I arrived to wait for them to open at 4pm to talk to them regarding the room. WE HAD TO STAY IN THESE ROOMS FOR ONE NIGHT. THEY MOVE US THE NEXT DAY AT 1:30PM. AGAIN WE HAD TO STAY AROUND TO MOVE INTO THE OTHER ROOM. The rooms have none or very few appliances. My advice to the people that own these apartments is to clean them up remodel and update with the appliances that the web side Expedia.com said they have. Otherwise THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS. I work for a large company and could pass your apartments on to many people, But I don't think they would enjoy their stay.
“Paris on a budget”
This hotel was inexpensive, however the accommodation quality can only be described as cheap. The apartment was spacious, however the finish was basic with flimsy plastic table and chairs, and poorly equipped kitchen that was insufficient for the the capacity of 6. The parking is not complimentary as advertised on Expedia as there is a 5 Euro charge however the basement parking seemed secure and was mostly empty whilst we were there. The owners have eco friendly policy, which means you often end up in the corridors in the dark. OK if you are on a budget. Good advice if you are going into Paris and have a vehicle is to park up and take the train.
“Good for the money”
its good for the money i paid. But the rooms were not clean at all. The location is good, close to Train Station, bus stop, super market and local shops. If you are planning to go, you need to get all the door access codes before you travel or be at the hotel in the reception opening times. On the website it says the parking is free but its not the hotel charge you 5 Euro per night.
“Great Hotel (with some problems)”
There are some strong pros and cons to this hotel. The price is nice, it's located 10 mins from a metro station, the front desk staff are friendly, and the suites are decent. On the darker side, the check-in can be painful, especially if you arrive on a Sunday afternoon. If you decide to book at this hotel, check the fine print on your itinerary in advance. You may have to obtain a combination from the safe in order to obtain your room keys. It took me about an hour to gain access to my room. The rooms are excellent, but mine had some ugly stains on the carpet and black marks on the wall. When the management pays a bit more attention to details like this, this will be an excellent place to stay.
“Good but far away”
It is a spacious hotel (apartment), which is very good. It is near the train station. It will take about 45m to an hour to get to the city by taxi. There is no phone in the room. There is no daily cleaning. Staff are friendly but they have limited opening hours. Overall, it is OK and great value for the money if you have a large group.
