The hotel was on Lombard street. A little misleading. Yes Lombard Street but you have to climb a massive hill, 5 blocks long and then descend thru the really crooked part ( that was fun) to get close to Fisherman's Wharf .
We found other , less steep routes, to get around. 20 minute walks to the places we were interested in.
Stayed 3nights, car parking underneath, 15minute walk to the waterfront. Big clean rooms,we had rooms at the back, off the busy main road which we thought would be quite. But each morning at about 4.am would unload whatever for a good hour waking us up. Apart from this great hotel.
For SF, this place was a reasonable price for the location. 10 min walk to Fisherman's Wharf area. I was surprised my room was so large and even had a small private patio. My room had a separate room with the tub/shower from the toilet and sink room. The tub was a large soaking tub which I used a couple of times and I am 6 ft. The hotel was full all the days I was there (Sunday to Wednesday). I never tried the hotel breakfast because it was jammed every day and a line out the door.
Awesome spacious renovated rooms! We were pleasantly surprised. Don't be deterred by the look of the outside. Front desk said they're working on renovating the outside and adding a breakfast this summer. Great location- can walk to a million places off Chesnut Ave or catch a bus to fishermans or around the city.
Had to change rooms, air conditioner didn't work and the new room it didn't work so good. Toilet ran all night. Very noisy night. Lots of traffic noise, get a room on the back side, not on the street side.
