My husband and I stayed 1 night here on our way to Yosemite. This was a very nice stay for the price. The hotel is older, and the bed was a tad firmer than we prefer. However, it is located just minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge and from Fisherman's Wharf (in the opposite direction), parking was free and at the hotel, the room was very clean and spacious, and the hotel staff was very willing to help. I would definitely recommend the Covenetry motor inn for anyone looking for a short, or cheap, stay in San Fran.
First time travelers to San Francisco. We chose this location because it was close to most "tourist" attractions. The room we booked was a "bay view" which was beautiful!! Very comfortable accommodations and great breakfast. The staff was also courteous and helpful.
Awesome spacious renovated rooms! We were pleasantly surprised. Don't be deterred by the look of the outside. Front desk said they're working on renovating the outside and adding a breakfast this summer. Great location- can walk to a million places off Chesnut Ave or catch a bus to fishermans or around the city.
We stayed here for three nights at the end of our US road trip in May/June. We booked a Standard Room with One Queen Bed. The hotel was a little old and there was no elevator to the second floor. However, it was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was a bit noisy, but not too bad. Accommodation in the city was quite full when we booked and really expensive, so we found this to be a good option. The Marina District is pretty and we had no problems walking as far as Fisherman's wharf. There are many nice stores, cafes and restaurants a short walk away. Some may find it a bit far from popular attractions. Breakfast was fine, but go early as it gets busy. The staff were really friendly, they looked after our luggage after we checked out and booked our airport shuttle. I would stay here again.
I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else while in SF. This place is absolutely wonderful. We park for the whole entire time we are in town and don't worry about our car until we leave. We walk everywhere as it's so easy to go places from this location. Highly recommend the "city sightseeing" tour bus as it took us to all places we wanted to visit during our stay. It's also close to city bus stops and it takes you wherever you like to go. Hotel staff is super friendly and accomodating. Beds are crazy comfortable and rooms are super spacious. Highly recommend this hotel!
Had a very nice experience at this hotel. I had never been to SF prior to this trip, so I had no idea what I was in for. This hotel is easy to get to, and there are tons of things close by to do and see. It is just up the road from the famous "crooked street" and walking distance to the wharf. The complimentary breakfast was actually very good considering most places have cheap coffee and stale cereal - they offered orange juice in addition to milk and a few types of coffee, plus muffins, pastries, fruit and cereal. The room was mostly clean, but the bathroom area in the deluxe room was pretty small. The coffee maker was broken, but not a big deal as there's coffee with breakfast. The staff was polite and knowledgeable and answered all of my touristy questions.
Pocket Guide: San Francisco Marina District Hotels
Within foghorn distance of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marina District offers many postcard-worthy moments. Visit the Palace of Fine Arts, a beaux-arts-style monument popular with locals and visitors alike. Fly a kite at Crissy Field or gaze out upon the water. Fort Mason, a former Army outpost, now hosts festivals and events. And fill up; the Marina has plenty of restaurants and bistros.
