Was surprised that the room was not serviced when we returned at 4 pm. They immediately cleaned it. but when we mentioned to desk clerk he asked if we requested room clean up. We did not realize we had to ask. That is different from any other hotel where we stayed.
The best thing about Inn Marin is also the worst: it's right off the highway and, it's right off the highway. Darling little cottage-like rooms in a row, beautiful soap, shampoo, etc in nice wall dispensers (much more efficient), unbelievably clean, comfortable beds, WOOD floors!!! An old place that has been gorgeously redone. I wish the pool opened earlier.
This hotel was fantastic. Fab pool and spa. Excellent location being so close to Downtown San Fran and we loved driving across the Golden Gate Bridge every day to get to the city. I didn't know what to expect when booking this hotel due to the star rating but I wanted a kitchen and this was the best deal and I was very pleased I had booked it as it felt were staying in a 4 star. Everything clean. Comfy beds. Good size kitchen facilities. The staff were great too - very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone! We stayed with 2 young and very short children (6&4) and they could both touch the floor at one end of the pool which made a massive difference to us being able to relax on the side of the pool whilst they had fun! Other great bit is supermarket/restaurants are a short walk or 2 minute drive. Great for when you are self catering! Very very pleased I booked this hotel :)
Everything you need ...great breakfasts, friendly staff, Kuerig machine in our room, lots of towels, big TV, and a bargain for Marin area. We were in the older section of the hotel...a little dark and room design made it hard to sleep if someone was using the dressing area. Next time we'll ask for a room upgrade. But for the price, hard to complain.
This small town is wonderful to walk around. The hotel provides great access within walking distance to many restaurants. The staff were wonderful. From check-in to the breakfast everyone was very nice.

I used to stay in San Francisco when going to the area. Now I stay at Waters Edge in Tiburon. The hotel is in the heart of the town of Tiburon, a beautiful vista across the bay from the city. The staff is OUTSTANDING- every one of them. Their attention is to service- they get the concept of 'hospitality' which so many hotels simply do not. I feel welcomed and comfortable there. And I have the sense that- whatever it may be that you need- they'd get it. The hotel is situated next to a slew of restaurants, shops, and beautiful walking areas. The town itself is very picturesque. I drive into the city each morning for business, and drive back out to get away from it at day's end. And, it's an easy drive. Love this spot. Would highly recommend it if the area works for you.

We had a reservation at another hotel, for health reasons we had to cancel that reservation. We were recommended Embassy Suites. What a great hotel!!!!
Rooms are huge, very clean, acoustic is great (you can barely hear the adjacent guests).
It included free internet and parking.
Breakfast is a real one! The best I have had in different hotels around the US. It has scrambled eggs, bread, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee. The best part is that if you prefer omelet (including egg whites options), or sunny side up or any way you like your eggs, Maria and David (great people cooking at the hotel) will do it for you (also pancakes).
Tables are constantly cleaned, great staff will take your plate right after you finish.
All the staff and managers are great, very happy doing their job.
Highly recommend this hotel it is not far from SF Downtown and if 30 min drive is too much for you, it is totally worth it!
