We spend a night in Namur. This hotel has a great location, right below the Citadel, which is one of the primary reasons for visitng Namur. The hotel is part of a casino complex, which may be a cause of concern for family with small children. The hotel is reasonably delinked from the casino, and so one does not have to walk through the casino to get into the hotel.
The room that we were in was OK, the room was clean, and the bathrooms passable (old, and in need of an update). The breakfast was pretty decent. The room did not look air-conditioned, but given the mild summer in Europe this year (2013), we did not need the air conditioning, and so not a problem. The staff was pretty friendly.
The hotel location is unbeatable. It sits right below the Citadel, and on the river.

The air of an old French Chateau with all of the modern conveniences. This place is the one to stay in if you want to experience the best the region has to offer. The grounds and the view are fantastic.

Great hotel, great value with excellent facilities, though a tad 'tired' and in need of a bit of a makeover, nevertheless, our stay was very enjoyable. Would have given 5 for room comfort but no air con and the wobbly stand up fan was insufficient to keep us cool during a balmy warm August night. Fantastic location - we were able to walk by the river for a considerable distance, enjoying the scenery and beautiful riverside residences. Competitive bar prices, drinks could be enjoyed by the spacious poolside terrace overlooking the river. Close enough to Namur and within easy reach of the motorways. Would definitely stay again.

Very friendly staff. Good size well decorated room with good beds. The restaurant in the building served ample portions of good quality. The breakfast buffet was top rate. Nothing bad to report at all - we were very pleasantly surprised, having booked this hotel merely as a lowish cost stopover on the way from the UK to Italy and we were not expecting much. Also very convenient for the motorway without being so near as to be soulless as some of these chain hotels are.
