We really enjoyed our stay at the Marbella Playa Hotel! The employees were friendly, although a bit disorganized when it came to payment and charging things to the room (not unusual for Spain.) The pool and beach facilities were great, although you have to pay extra for the sun beds on the beach. A taxi or car rental is needed to get to Marbella center. If you miss breakfast you can't order food until 12:30 when the beach bar opens, but there is an Open Cor supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel so that was convenient. The water slides and kiddie pool looked fun, I would definitely recommend this to families with children, however as students in our early 20's we still had a great time.
They made our stay very comfortable by asking us our opinions about the hotel and if there is anything they can improve on. We asked for a kettle in our room and they provided one in less than 20 minutes with a choice of tea and coffees.
TV fees in the room was good with plenty of choices from films to bbc news.
The cleaning staff were very good and friendly. We got a room upgrade and had lovely sea views. 100 percent grade for this hotel.
We stayed for four nights at this hotel and found ourselves upgraded to a junior suite, which was a good start! Everything about it is lovely, the facilities, the ambience, food and service are all excellent. Would highly recommend the Serafina Italian restaurant. You can easily stroll along the sea front into the town for less pricey options for food if you need to.
Great hotel for short break to Marbella. Situated between Marbella and Peurto Banus. Ten to fifteen minute walk to Peurto Banus 5 min taxi journey to Marbella. Hotel rooms extremely clean and bright and well maintained. Pool area lovely with plenty of sun beds. Plenty of choice at breakfast from continental to cooked breakfasts. Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't have time to use spa facilities but will definitely visit again.
Really friendly staff, beautiful location right on the beach and fantastic pool.
Lovely beach side restaurant with great grilled squid! A little pricey but worth it.
Also no price list for alcohol so be careful as sangria was 18 euros !
Would defiantly go back again.
I stayed in this hotel for a girls holiday with my 4 friends and we had a great time. We chose the 3 bedroom apartment which was huge and extremely comfortable with a lovely balcony with sea view. The location was great - close to beach, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, bus stop etc. However, it was further than we had anticipated from Marbella and Puerto Banus which we wanted to visit for the nightlife! Taxis were so expensive and there were no 5 seater ones meaning we always had to get two which was ridiculous and so we resorted to getting the last bus some nights to save money but the nightlife starts getting going about 2am and so it was still so quiet when we got there on the bus at 12am!
I decided to try a short break away with my wife and another couple and selected Los Monteros for reasons I can't actually recall. That said it transpired to be a great choice. A classy hotel, even though on the older side it retained an air of elegance. A simple but well kept and intimate place worthy of a return visit.
Rich with Andalusian ambience, this luxury hotel is located on the Costa del Sol's “Golf Mile,” five km (three miles) from …More
