Excellent location. Great Staff on roof top. Lobby staff especially the door openers were extremely glum. I felt unwelcome when entering the hotel. Maybe automatic doors could be a solution.

Clearly this property is a step above all others. From the guest service to the restaurant staff to the doorman. Everyone was very professional and courteous and polite. The front staff assisted in locating a covid19 test center which relieved me of all concerns. I truly enjoyed my stay and no doubt when in Maputo again thia is clearly my favorite place to stay.

Excellent property with risky service..
A nice hotel. Clean room and it is in excellent location. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent. However service seems a bit in disarray and managers performance need to be checked. We had several people in out team and booked separately. It seems to treat us each differently. I also confirmed (by direct email) airport pickup as I was arriving late. To my horror there were no pickup! I thought this is exception. But another member had the same horror next night!

As expected for a 5-star hotel - not outstanding.
The hotel is as expected for a 5-star in that region - not outstanding. The restaurant is good, but a bit overpriced when compared to same level restaurants in the neighbourhood. The pool, gyn and rooftop amenities are good, but the pool is much smaller than I have expected. The service was good, very friendly staff always ready to help out - they have fixed the safer in my room and I've even borrowed an adaptor for free after mine burnt out. The room and cleanness was as expected for this hotel category. The only important setback was the internet connection. It was very slow every day and in one day it was completely off - in all areas of the hotel. The staff informed that there was a technical problem, but they could not fixed it on that day.

Hotel Avenida - best business hotel in maputo
I regard Hotel Avenida as the best value for money in Maputo. Professional staff, good service and good business support conditions. The hotel offers a quiet and professional atmosphere and is located within walking distance from a big variation of restaurants. Also the inhouse restaurant and bar is good. Breakfast buffet is excellent.

Beautiful hotel and mostly very friendly staff. Dinner can take a while, but s good when it arrives. Very comfortable room. Bathroom works well with good amenities

The hotel was amazing. The staff are even better. From the time I got picked up at the hotel until I checked in and throughout my stay the hotel staff have provided excellent service and were very courteous. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overprice nice hotel
Room good size and clean The hotel is under renovation , continues noise, impossible to stay inside de room between 07:00 to 18:00. Hotel staff do nothing more than apologize. Internet slow.

Excellent choice for a Hotel in Maputo
I truly enjoyed my stay at Maputo. I was in Maputo on business and Hotel Avenida could not have been better. The staff go out of their way to accomadate you, all with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. The WiFi was stronger than I expected, but naturally tended to slow down during the day as it was used by more people. That being said, I never had an issue sending or receiving emails. The food in the dining room and piano bar was delicious! The location is great, with plenty of resturant nearby and plenty more to do and see just a short Taxi ride away. (taxis wait right outside the hotel and are very reasonably priced) Also, the hotel gym has a free and very knowledgeable personal trainer who is available whenever the gym is open (6am-10pm). That that was a huge plus for me. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Good but a little overpriced
Stayed here for two weeks. The hotel is very well located within walking distance of some good restaurants and bars. The rooms are large, have good bathrooms with tubs, and decent views on the higher floors (avoid the lower floors). Service was friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was very good, though the breakfast area feels a little sterile. The hotel gym was very good, with a rooftop pool. Overall, it was a fine hotel, but better value for money can be found elsewhere in Maputo -- especially for business travelers who intend to stay longer than a few days.

Excellent for bussiness travel
Good location. Staff are very professional. Rooms spacious and clean. Bar fridge very usefull to keep drinks cold. Breakfast was very delicious. Unfortunately parking only in the street and very limited if travelling with own vehicle.

Excellent hotel on downtown Maputo
The hotel was excellent again. This time I ate in the hotel restaurant rather than eating out. I have to say that unlike many hotels, this one has a restaurant worth a visit for its own sake - excellent food and marvelous service.
