Excellent choice for Visiting Manuel Antonio Beach

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: This is closest hotel to Manuel Antonio National Park entrance. Good view and Access to beaches. Excellent service, facilities are in very good shape
Location: Closest hotel to Manuel Antonio National Park (beautiful beaches), local beaches, excellent restaurants and night life
Check in was excellent, we received a room upgrade. Restaurant, pool and facilities are clean and we received a very good service. Checking in and out was quick and ease.

A unos 10min playa

Posted 11-Mar-2015
El personal poco coordial, se vio el racismo. El hotel se dirije bajo estética y Status social. Pésimo desayuno y comida. Carisimo todo dentro del hotel. Sucio y descuidado. Mucha construcción para tan pésimo servicio. No volvería a hospedarme. Se nota el trato del esquema dueño chino vs costarricense

nice hotel close to the beach and national park.

Two weeks post-stay, I can't think of much that wasn't great or at least pleasant. Tropical drinks at rooftop bar a bit skimpy and pricey, breakfast not that great. We had one dinner at the hotel that was wonderful (me - almost raw tuna), the hotel arranged for us to be picked up at San Jose airport and dropped off three days later at a San Jose hotel and it worked beautifully and we loved our driver. The hotel is right next to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park and arranged a guide for us, which really is necessary unless you're a trained naturalist. The public beach is close by, the rooms and beds were good. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone there.

Great stay

Posted 12-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was close to the entrance of the park which added to its convenience as we did not have to worry about parking the day and we were able to go straight into the park (my advice would be to go at 7 am - the weather was warm, we had the beaches to ourselves and the raccoons were not out yet). Our room was great, air conditioning worked well and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was there were little ants in the bathroom, but we never complained as I did not want them to apply pesticide to our room and was not bothered by them. The rooftop pool was amazing, unfortunately it was cloudy when we were there so star gazing was limited. Breakfast was excellent. We arrived just as they were closing it one day and they went out of the way to assist us. We ended up getting omelettes made for us which they did not have to do since it was our fault we came so late. If we ever make it back to Manuel Antonio I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Good location, great roof deck

Posted 10-Dec-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: not much
Location: GREAT location next to Manuel Antonio
Overall, this place was a great choice. It is literally at the entrance of Manuel Antonio Park. The closest you could be. The hotel was decent but the "adults only" roof deck was amazing. Theres a pool and a bar and we enjoyed the sunsets each night. I just wish they would enforce the no kids rule as many snuck up. The breakfast was buffet and was great for being free! The dinner was really really good. We only ate there one night and wished we had ate there more! No view of the ocean but you are a very short walk to the beautiful beach.

SAN BADA NOT BADA - I WOULD STAY AGAIN

Posted 08-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
MANUEL ANTONIO IS NOT A HIGH CLASS PLACE BUT THE ENVIRONMENT IS PRETTY. THIS HOTEL STANDS OUT IN MANY WAYS. IT IS CLOSE TO THE PARK AND ONLY A FEW MINUTES AWAY WALKING. THE ROOMS ARE VERY NICE. THE PEOPLE ARE NICE. THE SPA WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. THE PRICES WERE REASONABLE. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THE RESTAURANT MENU WAS LIMITED AND THEY WERE OUT OF MANY THINGS WHEN WE TRIED TO ORDER. THE SURROUNDING AREA IS LIMITED IN RESTAURANTS. A WALK TO THE TOWN IS A TEN MINUTE WALK AWAY BUT THE RESTAURANTS THERE ARE VERY LIMITED.

Hotel San Bada at Manuel Antonio

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: The staff is exceptional. The rooms are big--only those on top floors have views. Pool area is nice. Restaurant serves good but basic food.
Cons: More accurate description of public beach access from hotel would be appreciated. Other than that, I can't think of anything which needs improvement.
Location: Closest hotel to the park--right next to the only gate. Walk to inexpensive restaurants, drive to others with character and different food.
We booked this hotel to be near the beach. When we arrived we discovered the public beach was a good ten minute walk from the hotel. The path went through a rubble dump. Ugh! Not exactly what we imagined from the hotel's description. We planned to stay 3 nights but after seeing the beach, we decided to leave after 1 night. However... the next day we went to the beach at the national park, Manuel Antonio. There are several beaches and one has to walk about 20 minutes to get to any of them. It's worth the walk. After that, we decided to stay for the original 3 nights, visiting the park two more times.

Pros: Close to national park and beach

Easy 5 minute walk to the beach. It is right at the entrance to the National Park. Iguanas everywhere by the pool. I really enjoyed them
