“Wonderful staff at a discounted rate”
Really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. Couldn't beat the price anywhere else for a place with very nice amenities as well a very courteous and professional staff. The location was perfect being so close to the mall as well as so many places to eat. Really enjoyed the ambiance of this budget leading hotel and planning to stay there again for a few nights this holiday season.
“Stay at Firnandina 88 Suites”
The traffic noise was horrible and the mattress was like a rock. The breakfast buffet was always cold and what saved it was the fresh fruit. The airconditioner worked very well, but over all I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
“Good Location for Shopping”
The Fernandina 88 Suites is a good hotel for the location and price. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The security is very good. Buffet breakfast is consistent and okay. The Ali and SM Malls, Farmer's Market and Araneta Coliseum is conveniently located right across the street from the hotel. Wi-fi access is convenient right in your hotel room. They offer massage and manicures/pedicures conveniently in your hotel room. And room service is also available. We were very satisfied with the Fernandina 88 Suites and will come back again.
“definitely going back”
Since this is the first time I stay at Fernandina Hotel, I definitely recommended to other to stay cause it is very convenient to go shopping, to eat, to walk around cause the mall is right there across the street.
“great breakfast, all else "Fail"”
The breakfast buffet was great, the room was not. The moment you laid down on the beds, the sheets were untucked, they were no more than 4 inches total larger than the mattress. The sink J-trap leaked (a lot) all the while we were there. The hot water for the shower came out at a volume that was less then a gal every 5 mins and was never more than luke-warm at best. I had pre-paid for 2 weeks, and when I attempted to check-out early and go to a different hotel, I was told my refund would have to come from expedia...I was not in a position to do that, so I ws stuck. Housekeeping didn't come at all for the 1st week, even tho I called the desk. I had booked for 3 guests, but apparently, the hotel sees that as a means to collect more money without providing any additional service. There were NO linens provided for the 3rd guest, and I had to pay an extra charge for a blanket. Housekeeping wouldn't even provide 3rd towel unless Iasked them. The concierge service was appalling, I wanted a taxi to take me to the embassy, and the concierge tried to get me to hire a car for the day so I wouldn't have "to try to get a taxi by the embassy, very hard to do" The cost of a taxi to the embassy was about 7 dollars, they wanted me to hire the car and driver for $85 for the day. When I arrived at the hotel from the airport. the taxi charged me $35, I questioned that and was told that was normal, the return trip to the airport was less than $10, I believe the concierge gets kick-backs
