"Truly Unbelievable! The staff is amazing and atten"
Truly Unbelievable! Amazing staff, Large Rooms & Bathrooms. Boutique Hotel to the max! Every detail was impeccable, down to the room key, coffee/tea delivery, & complimentary beverages & snacks. This is THE BEST hidden gem I've ever come across.

The staff is wonderful, the breakfast is amazing and the hotel is delightful. My only reason for giving a 4 on room comfort is that the daybed was not the most comfortable. I would however loved to have one of the pillows they were amazing! We enjoyed our staff and the restaurant recommendations were top! These guys know how to treat guests and make you feel like family!

Having read the reviews I was a little concerned about the noise: I needn't have worried. We asked for a quiet room prior to our trip as recommended in other reviews and were upgraded without charge to ensure our request was accommodated. We were given a room over the internal courtyard and the only noise that bothered us was that of the heating!
Situated right on the corner of Times Square, it really is idea for a city break, with everything within easy access, either walking or on to the subway.
The staff could not be more helpful if they tried: anything from toasting your bagel in the morning to loaning umbrellas for our final day (even though technically we were no longer guests). They were friendly and efficient, even turning the radio on in the evenings, which made the room even more welcoming after a long day.
Breakfast was just what you needed to set you up for the day and the cheese and wine in the evening were a great way to unwind before venturing out again.
Whilst we were there, a couple complained about the rubbish bins being emptied right outside their room in the early hours of the morning (they were moved) but if you stay in a hotel in the middle of a bustling city you have to expect a bit of city life disruption. That said, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Casablanca to anyone and would happily return. It was absolutely perfect for our stay.

Rooms were basic but clean. Everything was exactly as promised. As a single woman traveling alone, I was a bit concerned about safety but always felt completely comfortable in this neighborhood. Enjoyed chatting with Michael. Yes, the subway ride in and out of midtown was about 25 minutes, but it was easy and part of the New York adventure. I'll return here next time I'm in town.

This was our fifth visit to Manhattan and each time we have chosen a four- or five-star hotel in slightly differing location in the hope of finding a home-away-from-home to enhance our NYC experience. We hit the jackpot this time. Although it is a small hotel, we could not have asked for more. The theme of a library hotel with each room having a them based on there Dewey decimal classification is quirky but works, although I suspect that the rate of nightmares would be higher in the Math room. The books are in good condition and well chosen. The staff are attentive and professional and will go out of their way to meet your needs. The level 2 dining room hosts a breakfast that is simple but all that is required for a healthy start for the day. It is also the site for evening wine and cheese (fresh and reasonably good quality produce) and all-day coffee and pastry. The rooms can be small but are clean, efficient and beautifully designed. Those of you travelling with multiple large bags should consider booking the larger rooms, although a creative solution worked well for us (2 large, 4 small bags) after some trial and error. The location was SUPERB. You can choose to walk uptown and downtown, or hop on the train from Grand Central station which is a couple of blocks away. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The Quin is a modern, small gem of a hotel. It's high tech yet elegant with a young, friendly and efficient staff.
The lobby and rooms are smaller in size than they appear on the website, but this is the norm for Manhattan.
The restaurant attached The Wayfarer is a chic restaurant with good food, but pricey. Not recommended for children with picky palates.
