We stayed here from the 15th - 20th December 2014 and travelled as two couples, we arrived at 6pm and check in was quick and smooth. We were a little shocked at a £100 deposit for each of our rooms which we weren't notified about until we got there.. lucky we had spare cash on hand.
The hotel itself is beautiful, nice classic look to it and lovely door staff and reception to greet you on your way in. Our room was massive, a little small of a bathroom but didn't bother us at all! Room was a little gloomy without daylight, but was really relaxing and absolutely spotless!
Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced daily too, so even evening on your return you would have a beautifully clean room to relax in. I was a little ill on the last night so we ordered room service, which the portions were huge! and the food was great quality. The hotel is in a great location, it is literally around the corner from Macys and just a few blocks away from Times Square. It is in walking distance of nearly everything, we didn't get a subway once. Only time we needed a taxi was to Ground Zero as it was quite a trek away from the hotel. There is also a subway at the corner of the hotel if needed. Only downside was the rude customer service received at the customer service desk, we waited over 30 minutes for her to come and serve us which she was still rude whilst serving us. Couldn't complain about anything else.
