“Historic Hotel with excellent food”
We stayed at the Centennial for three nights. The rooms have been remodeld and are very comfortable. The highlight of the Hotel is the restaurant--The Granite Restaurant--which served excellent food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service. ...food which excells for the area. A short walk around the neighborhood is a must to see all the beautiful mansions decorated for Christmas. This is a special place.
“Spacious room, outstanding service - we felt spoiled!”
This is a unique property in that it is a gorgeous Victorian home surrounded by the same, but inside it is an upscale, mostly modern hotel & restaurant with an elevator. Interior doors, door trim and baseboards are true to the period of the home, while wallpaper, light fixtures, heating/cooling, furniture and bathroom fixtures are modern. The room was really spacious - more like 3 rooms; a bathroom, TV room w/sofa & chair, and a spacious bedroom with 2 Queen beds, a large desk, fridge, another TV, dresser, and 2 nightstands. The beds, pillows and bedding were very comfortable, and the room was quiet for good sleeping. The bathroom was modern and beautiful with spa-quality towels and toiletries. Many nice touches, like free WiFi, lots of hangers in the closet, robes, slippers, and warm cookies w/turn-down service!
“"Old and classy"”
Our room was spacious, well decorated & clean. The staff was friendly & helpful. The two times we ate in the restaurant the food was delicious with a nice presentation.
“Quiet hotel in peaceful setting.”
I went to the Centennial for the last weekend of Summer hoping to get some peace and quiet. The hotel is close to the center of town and directly across the street from a behavioral health institute. The room was relatively clean and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint about the hotel is the shower. I've never taken a shower in a hotel with such low water pressure. It took a long time to rinse off. The hotel would actually save water if they addressed this issue. The staff members were friendly. There was a young, dark haired woman working there when we arrived wearing a very short dress that barely covered her behind. Frankly, this is not what I want to see when I stay at a hotel and dressing like that for work is in very bad taste.
“High class Concord”
Great dining too!
“A Gem”
This is a great little hotel, located in an attractive old building. The rooms are new, clean, and attractive. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a little off the beaten path (down a mostly residental street), but Concord is so small that this is almost irrelevant. One negative--the restaurant in the hotel is not great. Better options are available in town.
“You can go home again!”
We decided to plan a last minute week end getaway to do some snowshoeing in the Concord area. I grew up in the neighborhood around the Cenntennial and remembered caroling there with my Girl Scout troop when it was a retirement home. When I saw the inn on line, it looked like a great place to stay. We were not disappointed and had a lovely time.
“Unexpectedly sophisticated and friendly local hotel”
Impressed by the exceptionally friendly and welcoming hotel staff, wide and tastfully decorated room, and the first-class restaurant.
“Nice with minor faults”
We had ordered breakfast to be delivered to our room and she never came back with our change. It was only 2 dollars but still, it was not her money. They automatically put the tip on the bill so she basically just kept it our change for herself. Also, I was told I would be put in a King room when I called to confirm my reservation. It was not until the last night there I realized they had us in a Queen room. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to get what we were told we would get. I had reserved the room for 3 nights. The first morning, we got a call in the room asking us when we were going to check out because they had to get the room ready for someone else. I told her I had reserved it for 3 nights and she didnt seem to know what I was talking about. She called us back to let us know she found our reservation. Again, not a big deal but it made me upset for a few minutes thinking they screwed up and we wouldnt have a room. Overall, I loved the place and the food was AMAZING!!!
“Best Place in Concord, NH”
This is a great hotel - with an awesome and attentive staff - clean - classy - great food in the restaurant - only thing was we like a bath, easier to bath our baby boy.
