“Central location in Manchester”
Good location and reasonable price
“Very satisfied”
Staff friendly bed very comfortable breakfast lovely wouldstayagai
“Manchester weekend”
Stopped 27th & 28th August.. We arrived early but the nice young lady on reception still checked us in.. The bedroom was Large with loads of room.. The only down side i thought was the £15 for 24 hours of internet.. Still i'd be happy to stay there again..
“Great Hotel, but no Gym??”
The hotel was fantastic except for two things. 1. There is no gym inside the hotel. If you want to go workout, you have to get a pass and go down the street a ways. Not the end of the world, but not exactly the pinnacle of convenience either! 2. Air conditioner happy. If it's 13 degrees and raining outside, I seriously doubt that you need to have the airconditioner on full blast, especially when I leave my room with the air off and come back to find it turned down to 15 degrees.
“Great choice for a weekend break in Manchester”
The hotel is well situated close to the MEN arena and railway station. We found it very comfortable with a large room, relaxing decor, and very friendly and efficient staff. The MCR restuarant food was also excellent as was the service. There could be better indication of the car parking arrangements and free wi fi would be useful as not everyone needs a secure connection. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to spend a few days exploring the city.
“The staff were brilliant and dealt with us kindly and professionally.”
Hotel was very central and close to all amenities. Really accessible. Very comfortable rooms. Staff were brilliant.
“I really look forward to staying there”
Location is brilliant ...The staff were very polite and helpful.Room was lovely and clean.Cosy accommodation and the space in the hotel makes me feel free
“Great location poor service”
This hotel was in a great location for the city centre, shopping, MEN arena and nightlife. shame about the service and condition of the place. This hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. There have been plans to do so for some time. Cracked bathroom furniture, sticky threadbare carpets and overall very dated rooms. I have paid less for better. On the positive the bed was very comfy and got a good nights sleep.
“Decent Hotel in the heart of the City”
From the outside the hotel doesn't look very special, a 1960s concrete monstrosity. The inside however is very pleasant and well presented. I only stayed for 1 night on a Friday night and there was no major issues at all. The road network around the hotel gets very busy and is in a major shopping area so there are people and vehicles everywhere. The amount of high rise buildings nearby completely threw my sat nav and trying to find the hotel carpark and entrance was a pain. Once I was there however there was no issue. Car parking is priced at £15 for 24hrs but it was safe and secure. Also, if you are a fan of hard beds then this hotel is for you! Maybe I was just unlucky but it rates as one of the hardest beds i've ever slept on! I would probably stay at the hotel again if it was for just 1 or 2 nights, although the nearby Hilton would probably just edge it due to the swimming pool and fitness facilities which the Renaissance doesn't have.
“Good city centre hotel”
The Renaissance is a really good, if uninspiring hotel. Staff friendly, rooms a good size and a great location. The room decor is typically boring "business hotel" but it was fantastic value and the breakfast was lovely. Everything we wanted to visit was within a 10 minute walk and the city centre felt very safe at night. The big surprise was how much Manchester has changed since I was last there - brilliantly inspiring museums and galleries - a fantatic cultural centre. Great shopping and eating too.
