“excellent hotel in perfect location”
wasnt sure how central hotel was when booking but was within walking distance of shopping centre and MEN and a short taxi ride to Old Trafford. Fantastic Japanese Teppanyaki Restauarant around the corner which was very child friendly and amazing food (cooked at the table as you watch and tricks done by the chef, amazing experience !!). free bus around Manchester. never been before but loved it and will be going back soon.
“Great Family Room”
Great Family Room - Two double beds and very spacious! Lovely decor and freindly family atmosphere. Will definately be back.
“Poor service at reception, bland breakfast, no hot water!”
We arrived at the hotel at 1.10pm. There was only one receptionist working although two others were standing doing nothing in the background - most unimpressive. After 5 minutes we were told that our room would not be ready until the official check in time of 2pm. At just after 2pm I went to check in again. Despite the fact that I had already provided our details, I was told that the room still wasn't ready and that we had been allocated a smoking room. I advised the receptionist that we were not prepared to be put in a smoking room and after a lot of messing about she eventually allocated us an alternative room, but not with the king size bed we had originally ordered. In total this second check in occupied over 15 mins. When my wife tried to take a shower before breakfast the next day there was no hot water. The response of the receptionist when I rang down to complain was that nobody else had reported a problem.
“Ok”
The hotel was ok but it was really warm in the room and the noise from the wedding that was on in the hotel kept me awake. I asked to change to a room away from the function area but was told the hotel was full and there was no other room available. The location was good and the room decor nice, but that noise.........
“I am already booked in again on the 19th Novembert 2009”
my colleagues room was more superior to mine, that was my only complaint, but was still satisfactory
“Best beds in Manchester!”
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms not huge and windows a bit small but very well equipped and fabulous comfy beds and pillows. Short 10 minute walk to city centre but quiet location for a good nights sleep.
“Great value hotel”
The Marriott Victoria and Albert hotel in Manchester was perfect for our one night stay but I would happily have stayed longer. Every member of staff we encountered was polite and extremely helpful. For the price we paid, it was excellent value for a high quality hotel in a great location.
“Lovely Hotel”
Lovely hotel in a very convenient location. Not in the centre of the city, but only about a ten-fifteen minute walk away. Staff were incredibly helpful, only slight downsides being the cost to park our car and the room being incredibly warm, even with the air-conditioning on at full. Would still return though, and would recommend it to others.
“Very Nice”
Great hotel, in an excellent location. Only say 10 mins walk to the city centre. Would recommend this to others.
“Very nice stay”
Nice big room with view of Granada TV studios. Very clean and quiet and staff seemed efficient. Some confusion when checking out, as I'd already paid but was presented with a bill for the room. However, this was just a mistake and was sorted out without any difficulty.
