Nice hotel but difficult to reach

Posted 31-May-2015
No car parking and hard to get to. Nice hotel, modern and good facilities Food good but catch of the day had escaped (none left but only us in dining room!) Was charged again for an accidental spilled drink which a bit penny pinching Good hotel but restaurant staff a bit popr

Pros: Close to locations
Cons: Rooms furthest from Canal street. These are quieter from previous stays here
Small room and noise from the bars locally. Clean room but little space when you try and move around the room.

Great location, attentive staff

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Pros: Staff Service
Cons: Provide more support in parking More options in Room Service menu
Location: Great location, right near china town and everything else
Good atmosphere, receptionist was very efficient. Check in was quick and easy. Room was very comfortable, they even offered me a Bose speaker which was louder than expected which is nice. Bathroom was great, shower cubicle and bathtub which is a bonus. Very clean inside, with the raining shower head. Breakfast was good, need more options though. Overall satisfactory meal. Food came slowly but surely, staff were excellent and attentive. Check out was quick and easy also. My only problem was the parking, I do wish they provided parking instead of discounts. Good experience, would recommend.

Great location, superb spacious rooms and a good breakfast. Only downfall is that breakfast was very busy on Saturday morning at around 8.15 as they don't start breakfast until 8am unlike 7am on weekdays. This isn't a problem but does become an issue when there isn't enough staff to serve the customers waiting. As a result there were long waits for cooked food and tea/coffee service was variable, unfortunately a lot of people including ourselves couldn't finish and enjoy our breakfasts because we had conferences to attend. overall however a little gem of a hotel in a superb location.

Lovely stay

Posted 12-Apr-2015
The hotel was very luxurious and stylishly decorated. The room was spacious and comfortable and I especially liked the wet room bathroom. The hotel was located in a nice area, close to central parts of the city and within walking distance of trains and buses for transport. The hotel's carpark was slightly expensive (£17) so I used a nearby NCP one (£10). The only down point about my stay was that the breakfast service seemed a little slow and disorganised. However, the food was delicious and staff were lovely.

2nd stay, looking forward to next time!

Second stay at this great hotel. Had an executive room which was very comfortable with a lounge, large bathroom with bathrobes and slippers each, nice touch. And a very comfy bed, in a room that didn't have a window strangely enough, but at least there was no road noise or light pollution, which resulted in a good nights' sleep. Breakfast service was quite slow, but I'll put that down to a new member of staff learning the ropes. There is a parking discount available if you park in the multistory opposite, make sure to ask when checking out, and make sure the card is in date, as the one we had was expired, but the car park attendant sorted this out without fuss. Will definitely stay here for a third time!

St Pats Overnight Stay

The hotel is very modern and exceptionally clean. I had read reviews about not being able to sleep because of road noise, but it never bothered myself or husband. The noise is no more than you expect in a major city. Staff were friendly and helpful; the breakfast is fab, well worth it as it was included in the nightly rate. We would definitely recommend and stay again. (also, a little tip , if you park in the q park piazza , almost opposite the hotel, you get a voucher for a 30% discount on your parking fee, bonus!)

Excellent location.

Pros: Comfortable, clean and quiet.
Cons: Surprisingly rooms did not have fridges.Needed to store black pudding bought from Bury market. Told people don't want fridges and minibars these days
Location: Positioned conveniently for theatres, the art gallery, restaurants, shopping and public transport. All within easy walking distance.
Visiting Manchester to go to theatre and see friends. Stayed total of two nights. The second night was booked after the initial one night booking, but well ahead of the actual stay. I had written and telephoned to request that these reservations were linked so that we kept the same room. On arrival the receptionist on duty claimed ignorance of this but 'managed' to put us into same room for the two nights. However on return on second day key cards did not work. Other experiences with staff good as they were polite and helpful. For similar cost have stayed in better standard hotels in the city. Used the bar but not the restaurant.
