Good for what you pay for

Posted 25-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff helpfulness and good breakfast
Cons: Better quality room (shabby around the edges)
Location: Famous streets, Manchester Uni, near famous buildings
Hotel facilities where quite surprising for what you pay. Cafetria and lobby area was great and room what clean and functional. Only downside was that the room itself was a bit shabby around the edges. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

One night stay

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: Liked the décor of the hotel, rooms where basis but everything we needed and comfy beds.
Cons: Decent toilet paper, was cheap shinny awful paper.
Location: Location was really good for the concert we watched and for drinks afterwards.
Me and my husband booked a room at the Ibis as we where watching a band on the Friday night and wanted to make a full evening of it. First impressions where that the reception area was decorated to a high standard although the reception staff didn't seem too keen to be there, also I didn't think staff wearing trainers was a very good example to set?

Pros: There is nothing to dislike
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is situated 10 mins from city centre. You could jump on free buses and yuo could go to the Trafford centre train station.
I stayed for my 70th birthday and found it excellent. We didnt have to get up early we could please ourselves. Would stayed at the Ibis again.

Comfortable overnight stay

Posted 28-Mar-2015 on Hotels
Overnight stay to see show at the Palace Theatre. Hotel handy, comfortable, clean and staff friendly and helpful. Shower room 'pod' strange, but fine. Bed very comfortable. Decided against breakfast in the hotel as the area felt like an afterthought canteen in the open plan reception. But for a budget hotel it was good and I would stay there and at other Ibis hotels again.

Basic

It was OK. The bathroom was like a wet room, which wasn't very nice. The decor was not very modern. The room was small. The beds were comfortable though so it was fine for the one night we stayed. You could definitely get better for a similar price.
