Not one to complain normally! Great location clean bedding, bathroom ample but the floor was very unkempt needing a good clean, really spoilt the general cleanliness

Good location but needs a refurb!

The room stunk of stale cigarettes and there was only one extra pillow. Good location only a five min walk to the centre and a late served breakfast and nice check out time at 12

Nice hotel close to central city.

Went to Manchester for the week - room was a good size with a large, comfortable bed and TV was free with 40+ channels! Showeroom was also a decent size with the shower being large enough for two. Tea facilities in the room were somewhat lacking but were replaced daily; overall I had a very pleasurable stay.

Stayed for one night, room stank, filthy carpets, walls and couch, bathroom smelt like a public toilet. Only positive is that it is a good location for canal street.

Noisy hotel in need of complete redevelopment

Posted 25-Oct-2014
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Everything. tear it down and start again.
Location: Business trip, no time. Not many restaurants for a city centre, no wonder all anyone locally is interested in is beer and football, and football..
In the city centre, but as its not modernised you can hear lots of noise outside. Bouncers protect the hotel at the steps because bars at the entrance are rowdy and scenes with police occur throughout the night. My room was supposed to be an upgrade to deluxe 'quiet room at the back' but they ignored that and gave me standard scruffy double above the bar out front. They changed it with bad grace when I pointed out the obvious and reminded them of my request. The hotel is in a state, needs a complete overhaul. Other hotels nearby are so much better for slightly more money. It was a business trip but due to no sleep most nights due to disturbances and thin windows not a great trip.

When we arrived staff could not find our names for hotel rooms the names were switched around & took far to long. In the end was all sorted once we were in our rooms we were very happy, the comfort of the rooms was perfect brilliant facilities the staff was lovely. Will definitely be returning to the hotel in the near future.

Wrong timing / Nice staff

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: only the fact that it was available during this time of high room demand
Cons: Refurbishment
Location: Very close to the city
Rooms were at a premium due to the Labour Party Conference & I was allocated a disabled room (I am not disabled, nor requested a room of this type.) The room looked tired and was in need of refurbishment. I found the staff very helpful.
