“Wedding trip”

Nice central hotel with extremely friendly and caring staff...good room etc. My only caution would be that it costs £12 to park you car for one evening so take that into account with your booking costs.

“A class of its own”

If you are used to the US Hilton's this one is quite a chock. Everything is old, small and far from design. But it does the job with comfy beds, nice TV and friendly staff. And you can walk to it from all terminals.

“Cape Verde”

Early flight from Manchester required us to stay overnight at the airport. This hotel was very convenient and offered stay and park at a really good price. The hotel shuttle bus was waiting in the morning to take us to the terminal building and collected us within 10 minutes of our telephone call from the airport courtesy phone upon our return. Would definitely use this hotel again.

“great for connecting passengers”

Upon arrival using the courtesy phone to ring the hotel for a shuttle pick up it took some time as no one answered the phone. However and thankfully the person at the information counter at the manchester airport was very helpful but he too had some difficulties getting through to the hotel staff. My wait for a shuttle took aprox 30mins due to not be able to get through. However the hotel is near by and perfect for a 1-2 night stay for transiting passengers. Note the rooms do no have a hair dryer for those in need of one. FYI to those that do not know this, seems like most hotels in the uk do not offer complementary wi fi, they have wi fi but usually for a fee starting at 5 pounds an hr.

“nice, but dirty”

great service, nice room, but bathroom had hair on the tub edge and bath with a hair pin on the floor, and a piece of clothing tag, under the hair and stuff was cleaned so not sure how that happened, also the bedding was nice but the mattress was left over from the 1970's!

“Manchester Airport hotel”

Excellent hotel for overnight stay next to Manchester Airport. Friendly competent staff, great food in restaurant. Free transport (provided to/from airport. Extremely good value. Would highly recommend hotel if you need to be close to airport.

“Must have been given the worst room in the hotel”

Booked this hotel through Expedia's secret room offer. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel lobby and floors looked classy. However, the room I stayed in was depressing. Despite its large size and extra double bed, it felt like a 2 star B&B with old shabby curtains, separate hot/cold bathroom taps, temperamental toilet flush and sluggish sink drain. To be fair, I didn't ring the staff about these issues, which they may well have easily sorted. I't might have been that I was just unlucky and ended up in the worst room in the hotel.

“Doesn't deserve four stars”

Torn magazines, upside down menus, 1/2 a roll of toilet paper, and a near empty tissue box are not befitting a four star hotel.
