“Perfect for what we needed”

It was pretty much as I expected. Older hotel, pretty clean, no phone in the rooms, great full Englisg breakfast includedd.

Area recommendations
Close to the Bury Market. Try the black pudding.

“Das Hawthorn Hotel, ein Hotel für anspruchslose Gäste”

Vom Hotel waren wir enttäuscht, da es außen wie innen recht ungepflegt war. Bei unserer Ankunft waren die Zimmer unsauber und muffig und schon längere Zeit nicht gereinigt worden. Auch das Bad war verdreckt, die Betten waren allerdings i.O. Nach unseren Beanstandungen wurde wegen der Sauberkeit etwas. Das "umfangreichen Buffet" hat diesen Namen nicht verdient und das schmutzige Geschirr auf den Frühstückstischen war auch mittags noch nicht abgeräumt worden. Positiv in diesem Hotel war nur, dass das Hotelpersonal freundlich und hilfsbereit war.

Auto mit Navigationsgerät. Es gibt aber auch gute Wandermöglichkeiten in der ganzen Umgebung.
Family-friendly activities
Schon am Flughafen wird man mit Informationsmaterial eingedeckt über Veranstaltungen und Sehenswürdigkeiten jeglicher Art.
