Very efficient customer service

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: customer service
Cons: directions to get to the Hotel Car park.
Check-in and room allocation was extremely efficient for this very busy hotel. The staff were brilliant in assisting all requests and enquiries. Seamless delivery of service.

Cons: The Beds in 479
The beds in my room 479 where disgusting, I have better beds to go camping. I expected for the price at least a bed with comfort NOT a piece of garbage and a worn out mattress. I have already given one review and I have not changed my mind. however I did find the staff very good, and the food in the bar area excellent. Thank You

Not as good!!

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: The driver who took us to the train station on our return home.
Cons: Little toiletries in your room.
Location: Very close to the airport, food is ok in the bar area.
We stay here every time we go on our holidays but found it lacked the same details as bewleys had. Claytons have taken over bewleys but the little homely feeling it had isn't there anymore. Our room on the way out was ok but on returning we were down a corridor and up to floor 3, I could still smell stale cigarette smoke and our bathroom had no toiletries at all apart from over shower gel. No soap or shampoo & conditioner!!! These little things make your stay good, when you arrive in the middle of the night from a flight and want a shower and to crash into bed. The only happy smiling face was the driver who took us to the train station on our return home, we remembered him from last year. So our next holiday might be at the Hilton, as the hotel prices don't reflect the service you expect from a nice hotel in a great spot close to the airport.

Only stated here because of the location

It was just okay. The worst part was the restaurant/bar. Food was terrible and overpriced. Worst meal of our entire trip over three weeks.

Not a place I would stay again

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Only pro is location to T3 Manchester Airport Firstly there has been a name change - now the Clayton - spent ages trying to find it because of this - & to be honest the new name says it all - it's the hotel that's not really a hotel - it's a bed in a room. The cons are too many to list - to start windows barely open & have no aircon - stuffy without air - dreadful. Staff are not helpful at all. Very disappointing - would choose crown plaza next door if had to stay in vacinity again

very convenient to airport

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Pros: its proximity to the airport. The shuttle arrived and departed when it was supposed to. Cheerful drivers.
Cons: Not very imaginative menu in brasserie.
Location: All I needed was the shuttle to the airport.
pleasant experience, at a busy and stressful time. Staff made it easy and were helpful. Everything worked smoothly even though the hotel had been taken over a week or so before my arrival.

We had great difficulty finding Bewley's Hotel as we had not been informed about the name change until we arrived. We had 3 rooms for our family and were very satisfied with them. We found the breakfast to be very expensive. The shuttle to the airport for our departure was right on time.

Handy for night before flight home

Posted 08-Jul-2015
Pros: Convenient to hotel, free shuttle to airport, fresh and clean.
We wanted to spend the night before our flights home to the US at an airport hotel so we didn't have to leave our rental in the Yorkshire Dales at the crack of dawn. I picked Bewley's Hotel somewhat at random. Our son's family was traveling with us and fortunately his wife knew the name had changed and we spotted it as soon as we approached the airport. It did take us a bit to figure out how to get to it, but we were happy with our choice. Had dinner there and thought the prices for our hamburger and chicken-burger were rather high.
