“what a dump”

i would strongly recommend this hotel only if you are not in a position to get your hands on a decent cardboard box! the place is filthy dated and smells vile.we moved rooms virtually as soon as we got there first room was next to a noisey yfan there was a crack in the bath mould growing up the shower curtain and stand of years of being occupied by heavy smokers. the next room was only marginally better with less of an odour but still smelly and the bathroom filthy with grime around the taps taps that were so hard to turn and a shower that was less than useless. i would never stay here again even if it was for free!!

“Please give a wide berth”

Very dirty,inefficient. Bedding didn't feel clean. Couldn't wait for the morning to get a shower and leave.

“Not impressed!”

Not the place for a restfull nights sleep - springs through the matress, holes in the sheets and screaming girls in the hallway banging doors for hours! If you want to drink anything other than water in the restaurant you have to get it yourself from the bar! Limited selection of average food, carvery style. Tiny gym and a you have to pay to use the pool as a guest. So many better hotels for the money. Never again!!

“Good value for the money”

I did not that this hotel apparently caters to groups of Seniors on tour bus trips around UK but this was not a problem as they had separate seating at breakfast. Pub food at the bar was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed that stay.
