A bad experience

I booked a double bed smoking room, was given a twin bed room. They changed it to a non smoking double room because the other smoking rooms were being painted. At night the water from the shower was Luke warm, the next day engineer came to look at it and said it was a big job amd will take time to fix. Was given a third bedroom which was the same. Then got moved to a 4th bedroom which was a smoking room. Had a bath but the shower was totally out of order, didn't complian as if had enough. Just stayed the night and checked out the next day. Staff were very helpful though, and the manager gave me a discount for the 3rd night and 2 free breakfasts.

While booking in I asked reception if they were still doing food I was told bluntly no food had stopped at 2130hrs and no other suggestions ie takeaway or the 24hr food orders from reception (told by someone in the bar. I waited a good 4/5 minutes to order a drink while the bar staff (black male) played on his phone with his back turned and then sorting his music on his mobile again and then played it quite loud NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Stayed two nights since I was on business nearby. A good basic hotel, clean and relatively quiet. Comfortable room. Stayed mid-week, and I thought it was good value. Car parking good, and near to the motorway. Wi-fi provided, which was useful, but it didn't reach my room so had to go to public area to use it. Didn't eat in hotel, so can't comment on food. I wouldn't want to stay here for a holiday - wrong location - but for an overnight it was good, and I would definitely use it again if in the area on business, or for the airport.

Just what was needed for working in the area, very handy for work and saved a lot of miles on the road. Hotel was comfort for what I needed, thank you
