“Still smoking rooms?”
A convenient location and good service but let down that I requested a non smoking room and got a smoking one. I thought that had all finished but obviously I am mistaken as ash trays and signs telling guests that they could smoke were supplied. Being typically British, and also in a hurry to get changed and off to the Office Christmas party I did not complain about what was the only downside to my stay.
“Nice place, awful staff.”
Nice country house location. Very authentic. There wasn't light in the room. Also washbowl in the bathroom was clogged and water didn't come out. We've been constantly reporting to the reception, but with no luck. Problems weren't fixed for three days of our stay.

“Typical 3-star hotel”
Stayed here for 3 nights on business. PLEASE don't try the carvery, it was rubbish. Nice foyer, but then the staff and hotel let's it done. It is run very badly... Definately would NOT stay there again. You won't even find space to park your car...
“Dated and Dirty.”
This place is to be avoided unless you really are desperate for a room at short notice. There is a reason this place has availability and its because its not pleasant in the slightest. I am not fussy - honestly this was a place to put my head down before heading out early the next day. But the room was tiny, dirty, had stains all over the floor and the door was simply not secure. The window was missing its handle, there was an exposed socket under my bed, missing its cover. The shower curtain fell down. The night's sleep was made worse by the noise of other guests due to poorly planned design. The carpet will give you a headache, not just from the pattern out of the 80s but from the smell - it stunk on my corridor of old beer, cigarettes and god knows what else. Please avoid this at all costs because I checked out at 9am as it was so gross in the room. I was happier to sit outside on my case and wait for my ride than spend longer in that place. Oh! Don't expect water to be hot before 8am. They seem to switch it off and feel that is perfectly acceptable for a hotel to do so. Desperately needs renovating. You have been warned!
“Quiet location not far from Airport”
I have used this hotel a few times the night before a trip as it is only a few minutes drive from Manchester Airport. One of the rooms we were using had been renovated and the other hadn't. The renovated room was a big improvement. The hotel is in the process of renovating all the old rooms, so when this is finished, it will certainly improve things significantly. It certainly provided everything we needed for an overnight stay.
“Manchester Airport very close, hotel shuttle bus every hour. ex. value for money.”
Ex. Hotel. Bar Service and food,ex. value for money
“Needs staff training and inspection”
From arrival to departure there were obstacles to enjoyment as detailed in my travel experience paragraph.
“Nice”
Hotel was great with the exception of the mattress - it was extremely old & uncomfortable. The springs were digging into my back and I found it hard to sleep.
“Not impressed but it was cheap”
I arrived at 11 pm very tired and waited 15 minutes for someone check me in as there was no-one at reception. People came and went behind the desk and kept telling me someone was coming, but they would not check me in. No-one else was waiting. My room was ground floor and there was something outside like a generator, making a lot of noise. But I did sleep and it was cheap....
