“Blue is the colour”

Stayed her with my son (aged 10). Easy access for trams to United Game (deansgate station is a few hundreds yeard away). Nice breakfast pack laid on which was very welcome. Very clean with well equipped kitchen. Staff very friendly and efficient. Walking distance to city centre, Arndale shopping centre. Overall a good place to stay. One negative was the heat in the rooms but this may appeal to others. Overall a fine place to stay.

Depending on the weather, it is advisable to watch the weather forecast before packing for any trip here. It is autumn but we experienced a week of heat wave and very warm weather

“Nice hotel apartment in the city”

Pro: Courteous and helpful staff, quality and full kitchen equipment with washing machine in unit. Good taste in decoration. Con: no nearly bus, need 3-5 minutes walk to main road (Oxford Road) No free internet

“Would definitely come back”

Stayed for 3 days in a 2-bedroom apartment and it was worth the money. Great location - very close to metrolink, train station and there's also the free shuttle to the city center. Everything about the apartment was great - clean room, bathroom, kitchen and there're all well maintained. The reception was really helpful as well. Got stuck trying to open the front door and the locking mechanism is different than normal lock. The guy came up right away and helped out. I definitely recommend this apartment hotel for anyone - if they can afford it. It can be quite expensive if booking during peak seasons - but it was worth every penny!

Area recommendations

Old Trafford and watch a football game (must be a football fan!!)

“Manch Blue”

As a seasoned global traveller I will start by saying overall this was a good apartment but overall let down with silly oversights. The apartments were not that easy to find however the girl on reception was very helpful in guiding us in. The check in was easy and they allowed an early check in as I had just stepped off a long flight. The room was clean and tidy - the view from the windows was poor and overlooked so little privacy. The tap on the sink in the bathroom had fallen off which made it unusable however for one night not a deal breaker and the girl offered to change the room once notified. The evening of my stay it was a warm and the bedroom had no natural ventilation? however there was an air conditioning unit in the apartment but that was obviously a noisy option in a very small room? That evening after returning from a meal I waiting outside over 10 minutes to get in the apartments as the guy on reception was no where to be found! Despite ringing the bell 20+ times! Parking though extra cost is secure and convenient and underground. Shops and restaurants are realistically a 5-10 minute walk but obviously you could call a cab if you had restricted walking. Also I came across a great little Italian restaurant called Olive Press which on Monday night does 50% off pizza and pasta and the staff were very nice......... On balance for the rate I paid it was fair, however next time perhaps I would try somewhere else in Manchester to compare?

“Good Overall”

The building was impressive and very tastefully decorated. However, the hallways were overloaded with a pungeant smell of air freshner and the carpets in the apartment itself were stained. The wooden floor and rug in our lounge were actually quite dirty and whilst I would reccommend the facilities for it's value for money, I do believe the apartment itself could have been cleaner.

Area recommendations

More central areas such as Piccadilly, St Peters Square.

Traveller's tip

Pre-paln your shopping trip as some stores are open quite late and get very busy in the afternoon. The earlier the better!
