“It was ok”

Aliitle misleading from the pics online. Overall the rooms were ok. The rooms were alittle.. well just musty. Beds were rock hard, so no quality sleep. Breakfast was the best part. Nice people in reception however. But I will not bw staying again.

“Above expectations”

Hotel had recently been taken over by Best Western. The decor throughout was excellent. Food was very good value.

“A good hotel but the service seems to be going downhill”

I have stayed in this hotel a few times now and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. I have to say though that with the change in ownership the service seems to have gone downhill.....the bar staff hadn't a clue about how to serve someone and the waiter at breakfast couldn't speak English!!! Apart from that, the rooms are clean and well kept as is the genral areas...and the garden is still a peaceful place to sit with a drink before going out for dinner.

“Great hotel, clean and nice location.”

Stayed only one night but we were very impressed. Clean, nice location. Good price too! Would defintely stay here again.

“A very noisy night's sleep”

Looks to be a smart hotel and isn't the cheapest. The room looked very nice but the heating system came on for 15/20 mins on the hour through the night - very noisy and sounded like a train going through a tunnel. Not conducive to a good night's sleep -was glad I was only staying one night! The taxi service (one way) to the airport cost £12 - which everyone I know thinks is VERY expensive. Wont' be staying there again.

“reasonable overnight stop for manchester airport”

Hotel looks a little weary in places, but perfectly adequate for our needs - an overnight for an early flight from manchester airport, and we were transported there fine the following morning. More confidence would be inspired if hotel had card with all details for summonsing cab on return. Instead receptionist wrote details down on scrappy piece of paper.

“A welcome overnight retreat”

Booked this hotel last minute due to overrunning bathroom works at home. Despite being a bit quick and arriving at the hotel before the Expedia confirmation, the member of staff on reception handled the situation expertly and without fuss. We must have looked a bit frazzled as we were given a free upgrade to an executive double. The dinner menu for the restuarant is small but perfectly executed, if a little pricey. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. Overall a pleasant stay
