This lovely old building has been given a new lease of life as a wonderful hotel. One hesitates to use the term "charming" for a city hotel but that is what this building is. The old internal cast iron columns have been retained and the floors opened up to provide an airy atrium like space to welcome guests as they walk in. The brickwork is exposed and the industrial history is ever present as you move around the hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful and willing to go the extra Mile for the guests.
We made a weekend of going to see Lee Evans at the Phones 4U Arena and opted for this hotel as it was quite close. As it turned out, it was in an ideal location! It was within walking distance of everything we wanted. Only 10 minutes stroll to the Printworks, The Arndale or The Arena. I can't walk far and this was ideal for me!
Will definitely be looking at staying here again next time we stay in Manchester.
Arrived early before the 15.00 check in time but a room was available so able to check in straight away.
As always a spotless room
The only problem was being woken at 2.40 am by inconsiderate guests playing loud music in the next room

I really enjoyed my extended stay here. The location is fantastic, the room was fantastic (I was fortunate to be upgraded) & the staff were lovely. The only "issue" was noise from other guests as it seems to market towards hen parties & groups of lads in Manchester to party - but it really wasn't a huge problem (it was limited to the weekend only).

Close to everything, especially when travelling by train.
Considering it's a warehouse conversion, its a beautiful hotel with excellent amenities.
Loved the fact I received a giant sized cookie on checking-in and that there was a box of yummy chocolates on my bed.
The Lowry is under new management and I'm over the moon. Apart from our perfect wedding reception at this hotel a few years ago our latest return to the venue has been the best ever. There appears to be a calm efficiency and a lighter touch to providing top notch service without the condescending snootiness we've experienced on previous visits. The Lowry is on the boundary of Manchester and Salford, named after one of the region's humblest characters and it's the same unpretentious charm that will be a hit with its guests.
