“Great Place”

We stayed here for one night after a late flight into Managua and were heading to Leon the next day. The hotel provided free shuttle service from the airport. Hotel is a quick ride to the mall for dinner and drinks. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean, best hotel we've used in Nicaragua. The air conditioner maxed out overnight and the room was a little warm, but nothing to complain about whatsoever.

“The best of Managua so far!. Lo mejor de Managua!”

95% of my past trips I've been staying at camino real, but this time I decided to give Barcelo Managua a shot, and you know what, was totally worth it!. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone. the whole experience was great!, the girls at the front desk were very customer service oriented. even at the Computer Center room I had an amazing experience, Linda was very helpful with some troubleshooting on my internet connections for my cell phone, she deserves my mention on this review.

Area recommendations
For outdoor enthusiasts, sport fishing, golf, canopy tours, scuba diving, and boating offer exciting activities and memorable experiences. Deep sea fishing in Nicaragua is considered to be the best in Central America where the sparkling Pacific Ocean offers exceptional opportunities to catch Marlin. The beaches in the Managua department are stunning and are popular weekend destinations for inland residents, with the beach of Pochomil being the most popular swimming beach. During the week the beaches are a little quieter with mainly international tourists enjoying their beauty.
When to go
Managua, like much of Western Nicaragua except for the Sierras, has a tropical climate with constant temperatures averaging between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius (82 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit). The months of December and January are warm; whereas March and April are humid and arid. I usually travel in March, June and Sept. and these are the best time to go and avoid the raining season.

“Great Hotel”

We needed a good night's sleep before flying out. This hotel is great and has free airport transportation. Only thing was the pool closed too early for us to be able to enjoy it.

“Not willing to overcome their mistake”

I assumed they were located near the airport since they offered airport shuttle service. However, what was very bothersome was that I requested airport shuttle service from the hotel to the airport at 8:00 AM. The receptionist, Alexandra, said OK, no problem. So the next morning we were told that the shuttle only comes at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The morning receptionist told me that the night receptionist should have known that. Therefore we had to pay a taxi fare of $20 so we would not miss our flight. The morning manager would not even give us a break on waiving a $12 fee for sodas we drank from the room refrigerator. Therefore, since we chose that hotel for the reason of free airport shuttle, I was very dissatisfied with their service.

“First World”

The Barcelo Managua is as first world as you can get in Nicaragua. All the amenities, although the wifi was terribly spotty. The sushi restaurant's pretty good.

“Very impressed”

I was very impressed with the hotel conditions and the room comfort. Breakfast was great unlike other hotels I've been in. The restaurants are up to the level of the hotel.

“I'l be back”

Very pleasant stay, friendly staff, excellent service, clean rooms, good food the people at the hotel really make one feel right at home. Will return again in the near future.

“Buzonica”

Hotel has second hand furniture, beeding, sheets, etc. I thought I was stay at a quality hotel. It also said it was closed to the airport and center of city. It far and a Taxi to the Airport runs you more than U$40.00. I will never stay here again. Room service is expensive....
