A Peace of Paradise

vA Peace of Paradise is ideal for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This is a private old country home on the edge of the forest with an ex-pate hostess providing rooms for seasoned travelers looking to have a unique local experience while exploring this beautiful island. The hostess will help organize airport transportation, tours, hikes and activities for each guest. Also, we can help arrange a private guided tour of the island with stops in local villages and viewing points unfamiliar to the general tourist population. There is a zip line, ATV tour across 1000 acres, bird watching horse back riding, wind and kite surfing (Vieux Fort), Latille Falls, Rain Forest and lots of hiking in the immediate area.

In addition guests can choose to enjoy a day by reading on the verandah in the hammock, or taking a swim in the cool waters of the Mamiku River passing below the house. Adventure seeking and curious guests can have a full day experience with a hiking guide exploring the Atlantic Coast across 2 beaches or walk into the forest to a double waterfall where you can enjoy a lovely swim in the cool fall waters,

Enjoy Creole meals prepared by a neighbor who owns and operates a great old fashioned bar and restaurant, ( meals must be ordered in advance). Also, nearby is a wonderful restaurant with amazing, tasty meals and views looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. However, we offer a fully equipped kitchen that guests can use to prepare their own meals. Guests with car rentals have free open parking. There is wireless for those using their computers or smart phones.

There NO Beaches, Shopping or Entertainment in the immediate area. This property is Off the Beaten Path!

All guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival and a complimentary breakfast the first morning after arrival. Thereafter all meals are self catered by the guests.Creole meals can be ordered in advance from Shelia's Place or dining at the Fox Grove Inn is available daily until 9pm. Reservations required.

Hiking is just outside the door of A Peace of Paradise. A very reasonably priced hiking guide offers two popular hikes one, to a double waterfall in the forest and the other along the Atlantic Coast. Both allow the guests to enjoy a nice refreshing swim in either the waterfall pool or on one of the beaches along the Atlantic Coast hike.A driving tour can be a half day to Soufriere with stops along the way in the local fishing villages and to the top of two mountians to see amazing views and a chance for great photos. The full day trip will take you round the island visiting Marigot Bay, Rodney Bay, Pigeon Island and Cap Estate.We can organize a Whale Watching trip or arrange scuba diving lessons. Zipline, Horseback riding, ATV tour across 1000 acres and Wind and Kite surfing are all within a 10 minute to 20 minute drive from the house. Bus service is available 1 mile from the house however buses in St. Lucia do not operate on schedules. Renting a car is suggested.
